INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT & INFO

is the Continuing Education Specialist forWorkforce Development and Community Education atAlamo Colleges, Northeast Lakeview College. As aPresidential Scholar, she earned her B.A. in Business fromSouthwestern University in Georgetown and is a pastrecipient of Southwestern University‘s Young AlumnaAchievement Award. Tivy also has a master‘s in Adult andHigher Education from The University of Texas at SanAntonio. Tivy currently sits on the Committee on ChildcareLicensing Standards, as appointed by Governor Perry.Professionally she‘s worked in the San Antonio area formore than 20 years having been employed in diversecompanies ranging from PBS to USAA. Teaching issomething that is near and dear to her heart, especiallyworking with parents, children and families. Tivy is aregistered, professional master level trainer, behaviormanagement instructor, and a specialty trained parenteducator working with adult learners and children of allages. She and her husband, Paul, have been blessed withthree children now ages 9, 6, and 4. Additionally, she grewup in a career military family, and has lived and traveled allover the world. twhilock@alamo.edu
