Hi I’m here to speak about Vasco Da Gama. Vasco Da Gama was either born in 1460 or 1469 and there is no record of a day or year we can only have a close estimate. Even though we don’t know when he was born we could tell you the date he died he died on December 23, 1524 after exploring many years for the Portugal in Kochim Portuguese India.

Route Vasco Da Gama Vasco Da Gama was the first European to reach India by this sea route down below

he was actually a Portuguese explorer. He took his sea voyage around Africa and ended up in India I can only imagine the

joy being the first European explorer to find India. This ended up becoming a very important spice trade route and this is what made

him famous. They called him a hero.

Ship and family Ok now I will talk about Vasco Da Gamas ship. São Gabriel was the ship that Vasco Da Gama had on his first voyage

to India. The wood for this ship was cut in the Crown Woods .The estimate length was 25.7 meters and the estimate width was 8.5 meters.Vasco Da Gama was born to a noble family and his brother was actually With him when he explored and found a sea route from Portugal toIndia.
