This Week:

Serve God and His People

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Trustworthy in Small Matters -

Trustworthy is Great Matters!

Jesus reminds us in the Gospel reading this weekend

that those who are trustworthy in small matters are also

trustworthy in great matters. Those who are honest in

their dealings with small matters can be trusted with

more serious matters. Do you have a friend/family

member that is trustworthy in small and great matters?

No Servant Can Serve Two Masters

“Christian charity ought not to be content with not

hating our enemies and loving them as brothers; it also

demands that we treat them with kindness.” – Pope

Benedict XV

WE ARE DISCIPLES: LEARNING, LOVING & LIVING CHRIST’S MISSION

Sunday, September 22, 2019

Jesus also reminds us in the Gospel reading that we

can only serve one master. It is impossible for us to

authentically love more than one master - to be

faithful in our service to more than one master. The

love between the two will not be authentic - one will

undoubtedly be greater and the others lesser.

Christ gave everything for you and me. He is the

friend who will never give up on us. What do you see

when you look at a crucifix? Jesus died for our sins;

he came so we might have eternal life. We are called

to a singular love of Jesus Christ. He is to be our

master - He is the one we are called to follow - day in

and day out. We can act as though we serve Him and

others, but if we are honest with ourselves, we will

quickly recognize that either Jesus Christ or others are

getting more of our love. (con’t on p.2)

Fr. Ted Dudzinski, Pastor

impel you to follow Him most perfectly in service to

the poor and needy as He directed us to serve in

Matthew 25? Regardless of your income, your

savings accounts, your 401k, your assets vs liabilities

- how rich are you in the eyes of God? Have you let

His richness transform you? Are you rich in the grace

of Jesus Christ or in the fleeting money of this world?

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Serve God and

His People as we Learn, Love, & Live Christ’s

Mission!

Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Pray for us!

By His Poverty You Might Become Rich

St. Paul tells us in the Gospel acclamation that Jesus

Christ, who is the King of the entire Universe became

poor, so that we might be rich. It is through His

poverty, through the lowliness that He took on that we

are able to become rich in His grace.

Knowing that Jesus emptied Himself totally out of love

for you and for me, how does that change my approach

to seeking the wealth of the world. What is most

important in my life? Is it Jesus Chr ist or is it my

car, my house, my salary, my job title? Be honest with

yourself. What is most important in life (Heavenly or

worldly treasures)? What are your priorities (daily/

weekly calendar of events)? Do these priorities match

up with the priorities that Jesus Christ has given you?

Does your love of Jesus Christ move you to share

your wealth with those who may be less fortunate,

and parish/diocese? Does your love of Jesus Chr ist
