U.A. Zholdasbekov Palace of Students

U.A. Zholdasbekov Palace of Students is a concert hall that comes into al-Farabi KazNU university complex. U.A. Zholdasbekov Palace of Students takes the second place after the Republic Palace among the objects of entertaining orientation.

KazNU Palace of Students is an original complex on 1,537 sites with 14,240 square meters area.

These student groups, that are very popular, have been repeatedly noted at national competitions and festivals. Student amateur clubs, such as dance, theater, vocal, orchestra also function in U.A. Zholdasbekov  Palace of  Students.

The Museum of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

The total area of Museum complex is 1000 sq. meters. It consists of Gallery of history, a Hall of Glory, a Hall of the modernity and the Hall of Sustainable Development of the University.

Museum of archaeology

Museum of Ancient and Medieval Archaeology was established in 1983.  The museum consists of three sections, which are exposed archaeological material of the Bronze Age, Iron Age and Middle Ages, found during archaeological studies teachers of the department of Archaeology and Ethnology, Faculty of History.

Biological Museum of KazNU was founded in 1936The biological museum began with the opening of the showroom and external dioramas in 1984 during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the University.

Museum Palaeolithic Kazakhstan

The museum consists of stone artifacts that have been accumulated (about 600 thousand.) In different years archaeologists.

The materials are arranged in chronological order and includes the following sections:Human evolution.Lower Paleolithic.Period Moustier.Late Paleolithic.Mesolithic, Neolithic and Chalcolithic.

The Scientific Library collects the fund of textbooks, monographs, classical works of fiction and poetry, unique samples of rare books, manuscripts of XVII-XIX centuries and there are more than 250,000 copies of periodicals. At present the fund of the Scientific library of KazNU exceeds of more than 2 mln printed units, and yearly about 50-60 thousands of new copies of literature are enriched to the library. The amount of the readers in the Scientific Library is 20 thousand.

Sports and Recreation Center is engaged in the recovery of students and university staff, provides training process at the Department of Physical Education, accepts and conducts competitions of any level including 22 kinds of sport. The complex has 7250 sq.m. total area . Today, the University offers the following sports facilities:

stadium with a Seating capacity of 3,000 seats (football field with grass cinders training field; sports core; treadmills with artificial turf); football and baseball stadium with a Seating capacity of 300 seats; 3 fields for mini-football with artificial turf; 2 gyms (the area of each is 680 square meters); 6 outdoor tennis courts; beach volleyball field; 2 rooms to practice athletic gymnastics and aerobics; fitness room; hall of martial arts, Boxing, wrestling (wrestling Mat, Mat); fitness hall for gymnastics; facilities for playing chess; 2 halls for students of special medical group; hall to practice physical therapy; two classrooms

Youth Internet center with 300 seats is open from early morning to late evening, it provides all modern Internet services. 

All computers are connected to a global network by high-speed Internet channel.  Not only fast and  convenient access to the Internet is offered to the visitors of the center, but also a variety of related  services, including gaming computers. 

Students’ home

KazNU – is a city of students. Young people from all regions of the country study here. More than 5,000 students live in 14 comfortable, corresponding all modern requirements hostels of KazGuCity a total area of 81,000 square meters.

Students Service Center “Keremet” – is a youth recourse center for students that provides educational, social and household services and entertaining services on a one-window basis.The infrastructure of the center is situated on 7300 square km and consists of pavilions, sectors and departments.
