REGIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM AND ACCREDITATION IN SPORTS COACHING

To: Schools Division/City SuperintendentsOfficers-in-Charge of Regular/Interim Divisions

All Others Concerned

1. In its effort to upgrade the coaching competencies of CVIRAA Coaches and Trainers, thisOffice through the Education Support Services Division (ESSD) in coordination with the HumanResource Development Division will conduct a Regional Training Program and Accreditation in SportsCoaching on December 26-30, 2017 at the City of Naga Sports Center, City of Naga, Cebu in

cooperation with the Schools Division of the City of Naga.

2. This activity aims to:a) capacitate coaches and trainers on the current trends, scientific coaching and training

techniques in their respective sports discipline;b) cover the roles and functions of the coach in modern training methodologies, player

development and in promoting ethical values and sportsmanship; andc) accredit coaches and asst. coaches qualifiers of Region VII to the CVIRAA Meet 2018 and

Palarong Pambansa 2018.

3. Participation is a priority and a MUST for all Division winning, new and unaccreditedCoaches and Asst. Coaches qualified to serve for the CVIRAA Meet 2018 ensuring fairrepresentation of male and female participants with age requirement below 50 years old.Participants are required to: 1) present medical certificate, 2) certification from the SDS or SchoolHead that they are actively coaching an event; 3) passport size picture with written name andevent; 4) bring their own beddings / linens; and 4) bring their own instrument and official apparelof their sports event. MAPEH Supervisors are requested to submit a list with the names of theirdivision participants to the ESSD Office on or before December 19, 2017.

~~4.~ ~Travel, per diems and other incidental expenses of all p~a"rtTc1p"antsnncluding~DepEd~Facilitators / Speakers shall be charged to division/school local SEF/MOOE or any available fundswhile 3 meal provisions and 2 snacks per day, training kits and materials and allowance of ResourceSpeakers shall be charged to Regional Palaro / HRTD or any available funds subject to accountingand auditing rules and regulations. First meal to be served will be breakfast on December 26, 2017while last meal will be PM snacks on December 29, for Non-Combative Events and December 30, for

Combative Events, respectively. Inasmuch as December 26 was declared a holiday, DepEd personnel/ employees are authorized to claim compensatory time credits / off (CTO) or service credits.
