patterns Detailed analysis of diet

machine to measure body composition
Slide 7
The BIA machine is a bioelectrical impedance analysis machine
which measures the bodys resistance to current. In other words, it
determines your bodys proportion of muscle and fat. The BIA machine
is quick and easy to use and it does NOT hurt!

After a nutrition assessment the nutrition professional will
spend one-on-one time counseling you toward your nutrition goals
and teach you how to achieve them.
Slide 9
Medical Nutrition Therapy is the use of proper nutrition in
helping to manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease,
kidney disease and other conditions. *We provide information and
diet education based on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Nutrition Care Process.

During our session we will take a 24-hour recall of all that
you had to eat in the past 24 hours as well as a food frequency
questionnaire which asks what you eat on a regular basis. We enter
this information into a diet analysis program that tells us the
calories, carbohydrate, protein and fat you are eating. We use all
of this information to determine what you should be eating to
achieve your nutrition goals.
