1. Open the hood and remove the factory pushpins retaining the black radiator supportpanel cover and remove the cover.

3. Pull straight out on the bumper cover to releasethe side clips located on the left and right sides of the factory grille.

4. Use a 10mm deep socket to remove the two (2)bolts securing the upper brace. Shop Tip : Use amagnet to remove the bolts once they are loose.

2. Remove the two factory screws and two facto-ry push pins retaining the sides of the bumpercover.

5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the hornsmounted onto the top brace and remove the bracefrom the vehicle.

6. Apply protective masking tape around the factory grille opening to protect the paint on the bumpercover.

8. Push in on the factory grille to remove it from thebumper cover. Shop Tip: Place a piece of cardboardin front of the AC condenser to protect it whileremoving the factory grille.

9. Remove the factory emblem on the front of thegrille by removing the phillips screws and washer.The emblem will then unclip from the grille

10 . Carefully align the grille frame onto the factory grilleand mark the upper stud locations using a greasepencil.

11 . Drill a 1/8 pilot hole throught the center of themarks made in the previous step. Enlarge the holeto 3/16 diameter.

12 . Install the mesh sections onto the back of the grilleframe using small sections of double faced tape.

13 . Trim the ends from the vinyl caps supplied in the

hardware kit and install one onto each of thelower mounting studs.

7 . Pull the top of the factory grille toward you andremove the lower four (4) 10mm hex bolts and themounting clips they thread into. Shop Tip: Use a smallflat blade screw driver to carefully pry to clips off oncethe bolts are removed. You will not be able to removethe factory grille from the bumper cover if you do notremove the clips first. Do not drop the clips behindthe bumper cover.

17 . You must cut off the threads protruding from thetop ESNA nuts flush with the back of the nut orthe studs will interfere with the top brace once thegrille and top brace are installed back onto thevehicle.

20 . Carefully install the assembled grille back onto thebumper cover by aligning the mounting tabs andpushing the grille forward.

16 . Install a small black plastic washer and a #8-32ESNA lock nut onto the upper studs and tighten.Do not overtighten or you will indent the stainlessgrille surround at the stud locations!

14 . Align the mesh grille and frame over the factory

grille, making sure that the studs fit through theholes drilled in the top of the factory grille and thatthe bottom edge of the frame is flush with the bot-tom edge of the factory grille. If the bottom edgeis not perfectly flush, elongate the mounting holesuntil the grille is perfectly flush .

15 . Install a large black plastic washer and a #8-32ESNA lock nut onto the lower studs and tighten.Do not overtighten or you will indent the stainlessgrille surround at the stud locations!

19 . Grind off the alignment tabs located on the leftside of the factory grille were the top of thebumper cover aligns over top.

18 . Carefully trim the section of plastic shown (left andright side) prior to top brace reinstallation.

21 . Realign the top brace behind the assembled grille andreinstall the electrical connectors to the horns. Installthe factory push pins that secure the grille to the topbrace.

22 . Push the grille back as far as it will go and drill a 7/64mounting hole against the rear edge of the existinghole in the top brace and through the support thatthe top brace bolts to. Install #8 x 1/2 black trusshead screws. The new hole will be approximately 1/2behind the original threaded factory bolt hole.

23 . Push in on the grille until it is tight against the topbrace, then use a 7/64 drill bit to drill a hole directly in front of the factory push fastener and install a 3/4truss head screw to help keep the assembled grillefrom moving in and out.

24 . Carefully remove the masking tape by pulling it back over onto itself to minimize the chance that the tapemight break. If the tape looks like it will get caught,pull out on the bumper cover for additional frameclearance (not shown).

25 . Reinstall the factory push fastener (where shown),then enlarge the remaining hole to expose the factory threaded hole.

26 . Reinstall the factory bumper cover screw, making sureit does not shift the bumper cover back. If it doesmove the bumper cover back, enlarge the hole untilthe screw base clears.

***** IMPORTANT *****

Carefully close the hood and check for proper clearancebetween the hood and the grille. If the edge of the hoodtouches the grille, you must move the grille far enough back to clear the hood.

27 . Align the radiator support panel cover back into placeand use a grease pencil to mark the forward edgeswhere it needs to be trimmed to fit. You will need totrim back the webbing on the underside. Trim thepart until it will fit back underneath the inner edge of

the factory grille with all push pin hole aligned. Theforward most push pin hole in the radiator supportpanel cover ( A ) will need to be enlongated back inorder to install the push pin.

28 . Grind off the mounting bosses from the back of the grille emblem until it is flush with the back surface. Apply the supplied double faced tape to theentire back of the emblem for installation.
