Accommodations for Students withDisabilities: Timing and SchedulingExtended TimeStudents get extended time accommodation and may have until the end ofthe school day to complete as a test session. It is recommended to teststudents with extended time accommodations in a separate setting tominimize distractions for all students, and to schedule these students fortesting in the morning so their testing time can be extended until the end ofthe school day, if needed. 14. Unique and EmergencyAccommodations Unique17 If a student with a disability or an English learner requires anaccommodation that is not listed in the PARCC Accessibility Features andAccommodations Manual, and does not change the construct beingmeasured by the test, the school may request approval for use of theaccommodation. Emergency If the principal (or designee) determines that a student requires anemergency accommodation on the day of the PARCC test, a form must becompleted and maintained in the students assessment file. No stateapproval is required for emergency accommodations. 17. Assistive Technology Some students with disabilities (with IEPs or 504 plans) may need to bring18assistive technology to equitably access the PARCC Test.
