Mr Raymond Muschialli SUBMISSION CONTENT: 1 1 AP R 2016 ---_ .---------- I understand in the USA they separate the driving age from the drinking age of 21. I wish that app li ed here in Australia also. I am concerned about the age of driving being lowered unless there is a an immediate "Never to be e li gible for a driving li cense" again IF a P Plater driver is caught drinking, texting or talking on a mobile phone. Not a one year or two year or five year suspension - but a li fe ban if caught doing the above. If they want the responsibi lity then they must earn it. I know this is severe but surely as a committee you want to save lives. I understand in the USA they separate the driving age from the drinking age of 2 1. I wish that app li ed here also. The road toll in Victoria has risen and is due in part to Mobile Phone usage whether by sms or phone calls. If in doubt drive along and watch the number of drivers who are texting and driving. Has the committee also consulted with the Insurance industry about the statistics of accidents using mobile phones or tablets or other tecImology? File l : File2:

---_ .----------

I understand in the USA they separate the driving age from the drinking age of 21. I wish that app lied here in Australia also.

I am concerned about the age of driving being lowered unless there is a an immediate "Never to be e ligible for a driving license" again IF a P Plater driver is caught drinking, texting or talking on a mobile phone. Not a one year or two year or five year suspension - but a li fe ban if caught doing the above. If they want the responsibi lity then they must earn it.

I know this is severe but surely as a committee you want to save lives.

I understand in the USA they separate the driving age from the drinking age of 2 1. I wish that applied here also.
