Description:
This is a FREE e-book that contains a simple but powerful visual tool for improving your personal productivity and effectiveness. The visual tool, which is called "1-Page Life Management," combines as well as simplifies the framework of David Allen's "Getting Things Done (GTD)" and Stephen Covey's "The 8th Habit." Using the 8 strategies of 1-Page Life Management, you can more easily attain your goals in life including quickly getting the right things done.

Why Use 1Page Life Management? 1. 1Page Life Management is a simple but powerful personal productivity and problem solving tool that helps users to quickly get the right tasks done at home, work, and outdoors. 2. The 1Page Life Management divides a person’s lifespace into 4 areas: home; work; outdoors; archive/garage. 1Page Life Management enables anyone to visually manage all tasks and projects on a single page (dashboard) especially using Home, Work, and Outdoors Storyboards. In short, the 1Page Life Management is a dashboard for better managing one’s life at home, work, and outdoors. 3. 1Page Life Management is a visual tool (project storyboard) that is easy to learn and use especially for visually collecting, organizing, managing, and exploring ideas in tasks as well as projects at home, work, and outdoors. 4. The 1Page Life Management tool facilitates simultaneous learning and practical application of the process for “Getting the Right Tasks Done (GRTD).” A checklist of the process for the 1Page Life Management is written on a template that is referred to as a “Project Storyboard.” A Project Storyboard can also be regarded as a 3x3 rectangular fractalworksheet. The Project Storyboard contains a family of 9 boxes: a central shaded box (‘parentbox’) that is surrounded by 8 boxes (‘childboxes’). Each childbox can become a new 3x3 Project Storyboard, with the title or contents of the previous childbox being repeated in the parentbox of the new Project Storyboard. 5. 1Page Life Management facilitates visual brainstorming, collaborative notetaking, project planning, problem solving creativity innovation memory and recall as well as social networking when one is planning to get tasks and solving, creativity, innovation, memory and recall as well as social networking when one is planning to get tasks and projects done. 6. The 1Page Life Management facilitates alignment between personal goals on the one hand and implemented tasks and projects on the other hand. If tasks and projects are not aligned with personal goals, one could be quickly getting things done but not experiencing a greater quality of life. 7. The visual structure of the 1Page Life Management reflects the fractal nature of life, the human brain, and mind. 8. The system for 1Page Life Management can be applied for tasks and projects, using any medium (paper and/or software), and to any situation where someone wants to quickly get the right things done. 1

Why Use 1‐Page Life Management?

1. 1‐Page Life Management is a simple but powerful personal productivity and problem solving tool that helps users to quickly get the right tasks done at home, work, and outdoors.

2. The 1‐Page Life Management divides a person’s lifespace into 4 areas: home; work; outdoors; archive/garage. 1‐Page Life Management enables anyone to visually manage all tasks and projects on a single page (dashboard) especially using Home, Work, and Outdoors Storyboards. In short, the 1‐Page Life Management is a dashboard for better managing one’s life at home, work, and outdoors.

3. 1‐Page Life Management is a visual tool (project storyboard) that is easy to learn and use especially for visuallycollecting, organizing, managing, and exploring  ideas in tasks as well as projects at home, work, and outdoors.

4. The 1‐Page Life Management tool facilitates simultaneous learning and practical application of the process for “Getting the Right Tasks Done (GRTD).”

A checklist of the process for the 1‐Page Life Management is written on a template that is referred to as a “Project Storyboard.” A Project  Storyboard can also be regarded as a 3x3 rectangular fractal‐worksheet. The Project Storyboard contains a family of 9 boxes: a central shaded box (‘parent‐box’) that is surrounded by 8 boxes (‘child‐boxes’). Each child‐box can become a new 3x3 Project Storyboard, with the title or contents of the previous child‐box being repeated in the parent‐box of the new Project Storyboard.

5. 1‐Page Life Management facilitates visual brainstorming, collaborative notetaking, project planning, problem solving creativity innovation memory and recall as well as social networking when one is planning to get tasks andsolving, creativity, innovation, memory and recall as well as social networking when one is planning to get tasks and projects done.

6. The 1‐Page Life Management facilitates alignment between personal goals on the one hand and implemented tasks and projects on the other hand. If tasks and projects are not aligned with personal goals, one could be quickly getting things done but not experiencing a greater quality of life.

7. The visual structure of the 1‐Page Life Management reflects the fractal nature of life, the human brain, and mind.

8. The system for 1‐Page Life Management can be applied for tasks and projects, using any medium (paper and/or software), and to any situation where someone wants to quickly get the right things done.

2. Where, on a scale of 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest) would you LIKE TO BE on each dimension of the Personal Success Compass?

3. How will you get to your DESIRED DESTINATION on each dimension of the Personal Success Compass?

4. How does the Personal Success Compass currently look for each member of your family?

Use the Life Management Storyboard to

1. Record the existing level of ‘ physical clutter’ at home, school, work, and/or in the outdoors.To indicate level of physical clutter, use numbers: 1 (low) – 10 (high) or colors: blue (low) – red (high)red (high).

2. Record your highest goal for ‘physical clutter’ at home, school, work, and/or outdoors.

3.  List 7 things that a person should record, manage, or keep track of when trying to get things done at home, school, workplace, and/or outdoors:

• Calendared (scheduled) actions and information: “soon tasks” • Next actions: “later tasks/instant projects” • Waiting for: “soon pending or short‐term projects”• Projects: “later pending or medium‐term projects”• Someday/Maybe: “long‐term projects”• Project support materials• Reference materials: ArchiveReference materials: Archive
