1. Collaboration of researchers, IP persons and searchers is indispensible for thorough and effective utilization of patent information for business, R&D and IP strategy.

2. For this purpose, the following two methods are very effective; 1) formation of a working group comprising researchers, an IP person and a searcher for each research theme 2) construction of LDB and SDB 3. PAT-LIST is very suitable for this purpose, because; 1) easy to handle even for researchers 2) equipped with a function to construct SDB, namely,

unification of synonyms and addition of strategically important information such as classification of patents by means of own products or processes and ranking of importance of other parties patents 3) reasonable price for distribution to all persons concerned
