1. After the project is registered, the countdown starts. The longer your project takes, the less money you get.

2. UNFCCC Regulations are complex and changes are regularly. At the same time PDD’s are not 100% complete or lead to misinterpretation. Adjustments on site can occur but the PDD is the MASTER.

Experienced pitfalls of monitoring, metering & calibration

Buying the most economical monitoring solution results in…

…in lower total accuracy (loss of CER)

…lower quality products (more downtime, loss of CER)

…several instruments from several suppliers with sometimes different interfaces (replace or

modify instrument, additional cost, additional time)

Choosing metering equipment without consulting the experts before results in…

…wrong instruments or measuring principle in place (e.g. absolute pressure, thermal mass

flow)

Using untrained people for calibration services without proper equipment results in

…no SOP’s available (DOE probably wants to see it), higher downtime, more risk (e.g.

wrong parameterisation of the instruments afterwards)
