Comments

- Table contents reflect the current status; it will be different at the end of the year-The following multi annual implementation plan (see below) contains a new (sub-) task. It reflects the decision to construct a new mechanical frame to house the detector elements. This new frame will be manufactured in 2006 and added to the HADES detector in 2007.-The HV system is delayed because of problems with the bidding procedure. Orders are out now, delivery and commissioning will take place by the end of this year. The total cost of the system is up from 60 k Euro to 80 kEuro. -Since the front end electronics has been designed by and is being built at GSI, the material has also been bought by GSI. Frankfurt will spend this money partly on the additional cost of the HV system and partly for a He-gas vessel (see pictue on page 7 below) between the target and the FWall, which is needed to reduce the interactions of the spectator particles on their way to the Fwall. Total cost for this item 27 kEuro. The remaining budget will be spent on cables, and a VME crate for the FEE.

Backup information

• NPI will spent 6 kEuro personnel money this year; construction of the new frame will cost about 4 kEuro. They have received 14546.9 Euro from GSI and 7966.16 from EU. Can they spend part of the GSI money for investment (this is material used to build the new frame)? See also copy of email in the appendix

• Until now INR has spent 6050 Euro for salaries, 2650 Euro for travel to GSI, and 1800 Euro on overhead. There remains 7350 Euro which will be spend in similar ratios.

Dear Herbert,As concern money, this year we are starting spending manpower money forSobolev, estimate 6 kEuro till end of this year. Construction of framewill cost about 3kEuro plus about 1kEuro for outer frame (still have tocheck), but this is not manpower money, therefore I did not know if I canuse EU money for it? In fact we got 14546.9 from GSI and 7966.16 from EU, so maybe GSI part can be used to cover cost of frame production?

Appendix 2From [email protected] Sat Sep 16 07:15:06 2006Date: Sat, 16 Sep 2006 11:14:58 +0400 (MSD)From: FEDOR GUBER <[email protected]>To: Herbert Stroebele <[email protected]>Cc: [email protected]: Re: FP6 review

Dear Herbert,I read your mail just now at the last moment! - I leave on the CBM meeting at Strasburg on Monday and will be not accessible until 23 September when I appear at GSI. But I can write you some words about INR team participation in FP6. We have been written it two tasks - RPC and FW, but really participate now only in FW (it will be very nice if you can officially change this INR status in FP6!). During the first year we have disassemled old FW, checked all elements (PMTs, scint., LG etc.,), and assembled FW again. Photomultipliers for scint. detectors close to the beam axis (128 detectors) have been replaced to Russian phomultipliers with C-W dividers. All detectors have been checked and are now in working condition. In addition, we have done a lot of FW simulation as for dp reaction and HADES-8 (Au-Au).

Now about spend of money: We got at first tranch17894 Euro. At present, we spent-about 6050 Euro -salary (including taxes)-about 2650 Euro -travel (Aeroflot tickets-, because we need to come at GSI for FW assembling at tests).- about 1800 Euro - overheads, which INR took from transfered money. In total. we spent up to now 10350 Euro and the rest of first transh is about 7350 Euro. This rest we intend to spend in the similar way (about 30% travel and 70% salary).
