This logo was carefully and passionately

designed with the lifespan of a candle in

mind, the elegant hand lettered “B” icon

was drawn to represent the fraying and

discolouration of a wick when lit.

A Challenge often presented by hand

rendered lettering is it can look outdated

quickly. We remedied this by drawing

multiple iterations until we were

comfortable that it had a timeless look and

carefully coupled the icon with a beautiful

modern serif typeface.

This soft pallet was decided upon after trying out a few bolder options, carefully

selected to represent the calming feeling of scented candles, a brown hue was

decided upon from the initial concepted to represent the discolouration of a candle

wick when lit however the nal colour choice gave it an inbetween purple and

brown colour to t in with the rest of the pallet choices

For the typography in this logo we wanted something that

would be timeless and beautiful, something that took into

account the product and the viability for packaging and

promoting a calming feeling.

A Premium Brand Image

1 . The Theory 2. The Colours 3 . The Typography 4. The Logo 5. Usage 6. The Icon

In all instances this logo should be given at minimum of an

“O” sized space on all sides between itself and any other

element. This will help enforce the elegant brand image the

logo tries to convey.

Wherever possible and applicable use the white typeface

version of the “Belle Odeur” Logo. Although other variants

are available this is the primary brand image.

Adaptable & Memorable

A lot of time and care has gone into the creation of the Belle Odeur “Wick” Icon.

We hand rendered an elegant bespoke script for this letter, representing the

lighting of a candle wick, it’s gentle and delicate with smooth splinters and frays,

designed to portray calming and the texture of the lit wick.

Inline Variant

The Inline Variant of the Belle Odeur “Wick” icon may be used as either an

accenting image for background elements or it may be used as the icon within

the logo in limited cases. the inline variant should be used sparingly.
