8

Webinar Topics (continued)Additional Recommendations:• How users are pushing the envelope with MS

Project (e.g. custom dashboards, etc.)

• How to use MS Project as more than a static schedule – making it a day to day dynamic project management tool that replaces Visio diagrams, Excel spreadsheets, SharePoint lists

• Project Portfolio

• Managing programs vs. projects

9

Webinar Topics (continued)• Using Sharepoint for project management /

Integration with SharePoint

• 3rd Party add-on tools, “freeware" examples, and even some alternative solutions

• Integration with other Microsoft and non-Microsoft applications and environments

• Executive through "timesheet" user training

• MS Project-based dashboard configurations & tools

• Local vendor expertise

10

Webinar Topics (continued)• Microsoft regional and global strategy and support

• “Case studies”: examples of plans for different types of projects, how they are created, managed, etc.

• Usage guidelines and standards

• A natural progression of webinars taking people from beginner level to advance would be great, and very reusable within a library of webinars. I would also like to see one or more sessions on using MSP to manage multiple projects using shared resources possibly from multiple perspectives: how to maximize resource utilization, or how to minimize the impact of schedule changes.

• Tip of the week

• Information on how to obtain Microsoft Project certification

13

Website Content (continued)

• Event (including webinars) registration & payment

• List of Microsoft-sponsored or other events

• Online access to a library of webinars and code downloads (from webinar demos)

• Articles similar to the main MPUG site

14

Other Suggestions

• I REALLY like the idea of online meetings – this way we can actually look at MS Project and try out what we are talking about. Or if we want a face-to-face networking opportunity, have MS Project available in the meeting room via projector with screen shot handouts to take notes on.

• Meetings should not start before 5:00 p.m.

• Consider having an occasional breakfast meeting

15

Other Suggestions (continued)

• Periodically include guest speaker learning sessions and demonstrations as part of the chapter meetings

• Offer Student and Corporate Memberships

• Organize Special Interest Groups

• Lets see if we can add a little fun to the meetings

16

Other Suggestions (continued)

• ROI: Suggestions on convincing your company to support group membership.

• Lessons from the trenches: What not to do with MSP and why.
