As revealed by the consolidated results of the test item analysis in K to 10 Araling Panlipunan, there were identified learning competencies per quarter that needed to be reinforced in the teaching-learning process. Furthermore, the Teachers Need Analysis and survey conducted last January 19, 2018, revealed that majority of the Araling Panlipunan teachers are non major in economics thus have inadequacy in the content knowledge and its application within and across the curriculum areas. Moreover, to help teachers and department heads to be engaged in the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), a Division Training-Workshop on the Critical Contents of the K to 12 Araling Panlipunan (AP) Grade 9 Curriculum for Non Major in Economics Teachers and AP Department Heads shall be conducted. It is scheduled on September 20-22,2018 at Guiguinto Central School. 2. The training-workshop aims to provide untrained Grade 9 teachers and AP department heads with the deepening of critical content, knowledge and skill in teaching Philipiine Economics and its application within and across the curriculum areas; enhance planning and management of teaching-learning process through an instructional plan with enhanced integration of K to 12 pedagogies; and integrate gender and development in the critical contents of the K to 10 AP curriculum. 3. Enclosure No.1 contains the list of participants, training matrix, resource speakers, facilitators, and work committees for easy reference. 4. All expenses incidental to the conduct of this division training shall be charged against the Division INSET fund while travelling expenses of the participants shall be charged against local or school funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing procedures. 5. This memorandum also serves as travel authority of the participants, resource speakers and members of the technical work group. 6. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
