14th June 2019 A Message from Mrs Gale What a very wet and wintery week we have had which unfortunately meant that the planned Sports Day did not go ahead this week. The day has been rescheduled to next Friday (21 st ), fingers crossed for better weather. Sadly, Miss Kitching will be leaving the school at the end of this academic year to take up full-time employment within the NHS. We will be very sad to say Goodbye and wish her lots of best wishes in her new career. The school has advertised for a replacement School Business Officer, details can be found on the school website, Facebook and the Lancashire website section for jobs. If you know of any suitable candidates, please point them in the right direction. The closing date for applicants is 28th June. You may see the school minibus out and about over the next few weeks transporting the Chernobyl Children to and from their planned activities. The children arrive tomorrow and will be spending the day in school on Friday 5 th July. Today was the last Mini Church of this academic year. The next session will take place in September and the topic covered will be Harvest. Mini Church has grown over the last 6 months and today there were 14 children taking part in the Teddy Bears Picnic and a Dough Disco session with Mrs Brown. Incidentally, today is International Dough Disco Day. It is Miss Day’s last day in school next Friday. Over the past couple of months, the children and staff have loved having Miss Day in school. She has been committed to upholding the high standards set in school and been a very valuable member of the team. We will miss her but I am sure like most of the student teachers who come she will be back to visit and may pop up at a fayre or play along the way. We wish her lots of luck in her future career as a teacher. Monday is the Mini Marathon in school for all children. Each family should have received a Sponsor form. Money raised will go towards the school’s chosen charity, WaterAid and funding for the school’s minibus. Children should come into school dressed in PE clothes. Thank you in advance for your support for this event. Thank you for your continued support, have a lovely weekend, Mrs Katrina C Gale Birthday celebrations this week Thomas in Robin Class

    A Message from Mrs Gale

What a very wet and wintery week we have had which unfortunately meant that the planned Sports Day did not

go ahead this week. The day has been rescheduled to next Friday (21st), fingers crossed for better weather.

Sadly, Miss Kitching will be leaving the school at the end of this academic year to take up full-time employment within the NHS. We will be very sad to say Goodbye and wish her lots of best wishes in her new career. The

school has advertised for a replacement School Business Officer, details can be found on the school website, Facebook and the Lancashire website section for jobs. If you know of any suitable candidates, please point

them in the right direction. The closing date for applicants is 28th June.

You may see the school minibus out and about over the next few weeks transporting the Chernobyl Children to and from their planned activities. The children arrive tomorrow and will be spending the day in school on Friday

    5th July.

Today was the last Mini Church of this academic year. The next session will take place in September and the topic covered will be Harvest. Mini Church has grown over the last 6 months and today there were 14 children

taking part in the Teddy Bears Picnic and a Dough Disco session with Mrs Brown. Incidentally, today is

    International Dough Disco Day.

It is Miss Day’s last day in school next Friday. Over the past couple of months, the children and staff have loved having Miss Day in school. She has been committed to upholding the high standards set in school and

been a very valuable member of the team.

Thank you for your continued support, have a lovely weekend,

    Mrs Katrina C Gale
