Choir
10th Anniversary Night
Thank you to all the choir students who attended last Friday's 10th Anniver-sary Night. They sounded fantastic! Thanks also to the students who performed in the school’s Talent Show. On Friday night, our SIMS students played songs beautifully on their clarinets.
Carols Sunday Night
The choir were officially 'singing in the rain' Sunday night at the Lions Club Christmas Carols with it beginning to rain in the middle of our first set of songs. The students were not phased and, like professionals, the show went on! Well done!
Merry Christmas and enjoy your holidays! We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
Mrs Mills, Music Specialist
Art & Sport
I would personally like to thank all teachers, students and parents for a wonderful year in the Visual Arts and Sports.
All students have demonstrated amazing leadership and sports-manship skills throughout the year, and it has been a pleasure working as their teacher. Thank you to Trevor Anderson, Jason Shapcott and Pearl Norman for giving me this opportunity in the specialist area, and I look forward to what next year brings. Kind Regards
Miss Aleisha Cotton, Visual Arts / Sports Teacher
From the Principal’s Desk
We are rapidly approaching the end of what has been a busy and, I believe, a very successful year. I wish to thank all parents, volunteers and supporters for your efforts and contributions during 2015.
As a school, Caralee opened it’s doors 10 years ago, and since that time we have faced challenges, enjoyed many successes, and established practices for continual improve-ment. I feel we have made a tremendous and positive impact on the local community of Willagee, and I consider myself fortunate to have had the privilege of serving as Principal of Caralee for this period of time. I strongly believe that if we take a compre-hensive view of our school, the quality of the staff, student performance and achieve-ments, quality and scope of the educational programs we offer, the successes we have experienced in sporting and extra curricula activities, and the quality of our school facilities, to name just a few, we can see that Caralee does not have to take second place to any other school. With perhaps some degree of bias, I am of the opinion that Caralee is amongst the best schools available for any student in the Fremantle District and beyond.
I would like to sincerely thank all members of the close and extended Caralee school community who have made my time as Principal of Caralee enjoyable and extremely rewarding.
Mr Shapcott will take over as Principal for the first part of the year before the position is advertised or a permanent Principal appointed.
Best wishes and season’s greetings to all.
Mr Trevor Anderson, Principal (2015)
