Alumni came back to r inus in October of thi year to celebrate homecoming. While here they enjoyed tailgating and an excellent football win over Getty -burg. The Class of 1993 was the first to go through the ex­tended, 5 day, orientation program. The week included academic seminars and workshops to prepare the fresh­men for college courses. A variety of entertainment rang­ing from games night to a water balloon fight to a night with Dave Binder allowed the freshman to unify as a class.

Berman Museum of Art In October 1989 rsinu College cele­

brated the grand opening of the Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art with the Inaugural Exhibition t itled " A Pa -sion for Art: election from the Berman Collection." A serie of event were held from October 13 through October 22 to introduce the Museum to the campu commun ity and too honor tho e who contributed their t ime and resource to the success of this magn ificent cultural and educational faci li ty.

T he official ribbon cutting ceremony took p lace on October 19, fo llowed by a special open ing for the tudents. Stu­den t leaders kicked off t he event by snip­ping the ri bbon and opening the way into the rotunda of the main gallery. The col-

Michner, who poke to the crowd a bout t he significance of the Museum and the enviab le partnership rsinus maintains with t he community and friends.

F. W. Olin Building

F. W. Olin will be constructed through a $5.37 million grant to Ursin us College by the F.W. Olin Foundation, Inc. of ew York City. Scheduled to open in the Spring of 1990, the building will contain a 320-seat lecture hall, six clas rooms, four seminar rooms, two special purpose tiered class­rooms, two micro-computer laboratories, the language laboratory and the writing center. In addition, the faculty offices of the departments of classical studies, English, history, modern languages, and philosophy and religion will be located in the new building.

1989 Lacrosse National Champions

The U rsinus College Women ' La­crosse Team for the econd time in 3 years made it to the CAA Divi ion III finals. They were pitted again t their un ­defeated rival Trenton tate College in an emotional match that ended up with UC winning -6. At Half-time the score was 5-2 in favor of Trenton tate. An inspi ring halftime talk by Coach Betsy Meng-Ramsey and a lot of per everance by the whole squad helped them to over­come the deficit in the econd half and ultimately bring the crown back to Ur­sinus. Says senior Kim Piersall, " At the beginn ing of the season we, as a team, decided that winning the Division III ti­t le was our goal. To stand out there on the field after the final horn realizing you've reached your goal is just an in­credible feeling- I'll never forget it. "

Reflections is the non-alcoholic night­club on campus and is sponsored by the Campus Activities Board. The co-chairper­sons for the 1989-1990 year were Ed Fitz­gerald and Michele Kelley. This year Re­flections celebrated its Second Anniversa­ry.
