ABOUT THE DIRECTOR - ARKY MARCOMArky, you might say, is the father of Kentwood. He and hiswife[an founded this theater almost 40 years ago. Since then Arkyhasheld every position on the Board aswell asperform ing everyjob in the theatre: director, producer, actor and technician. Hislatestdirecting credit for Kentwood was HARVEY.Other creditsinclude BUS STOP, TEA HOUSE OF THE AUGUST MOON,EVERYBODYLOVES OPAL, and OKLAHOMA! for which hewon a Marcom Masque award as best director.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER - INA WENTZELIna has been a member since October 1988. She has workedbackstage and/or technical crew on four productions during1989. SOCIAL SECURITY (lan. - Feb. 1990) was such fun toproduce, she's back with her second show this year. Ina alsoserveson the KP Board as alternate Production Manager. Heroriginal artwork for SOCIAL SECURITYwill be seen on theSerendipity Playersstage this fall.

STEPHEN ELLIOT BENJAMIN - EllardSimmsAlthough Stephen is new to Kentwood Players, he is not newto the role of Ellard having portrayed him in the Long BeachPlayhouse Production. He won the Best Major SupportingActing Award for the 1989 Season for that role. His numerouscredits include Eugene in "Brighton Beach Memoirs" andGarson in "Norman, IsThat You?"Stephen isjust making a livingasan actor until he can land a decent waiter job somewhere.

ALICE CHAMPLIN - Catherine SimmsThis production marks Alice's second appearance with KP.Shebrings impressive stage credits with key prior roles in "NurseryRhymes","Hello Out There", "'Night Mother", "The Greeks", and"Public Affairs". Alice received her B.F.A. degree in Drama fromU.5.c. and hasstudied with Stella Adler and at the Eric MorrisWorkshop. She has also made numerous film and TVappearances and was last seen at Kentwood in THE HANDSOF ITS ENEMY.

JOHN E. FARRELL - Owen MusserThis is the first production for John with the Kentwood Players.John isa native of Southern California, and iscurrently in nearbyPlaya del Rey. John's background is in Theater andCommunication Arts. He looks forward to a busy future withthe Kentwood Players."Well, well. .. You havin' a nice time?.."

DOROTHEA KAVANAGH - Betty MeeksDorothea, a KP member for 30 years, received a MarcomMasque award for SEEHOW THEY RUN. Her last appearancewas in THE REAL INSPECTORHOUND. She has had roles inCAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, LOVERS AND OTHERSTRANGERS,THE SILVERWHISTLE, MORNINGS AT SEVENAND GUYSAND DOLLS.

DOUGLAS KOTH - FroggyDoug came to LosAngeles 5 years ago from Colorado wherehe was co-producer of his own touring company for 5 years.Since hisarrival in L.A. he hasstudied for two yearsat PlayhouseWest and hasappeared in several feature films and several stageproductions. This isDoug's first production with the KentwoodPlayers.

WYNN REICHERT - DavidWynn was most recently seen in the "The Bingo Game" at theRoosterfish Theater in Venice. His other 1990 Stageappearances include "Recurrence" at the Flight Theater, and"The Last of Christopher Harper". He can also be seen in theupcomming television pilot entitled "Life and Death."

FORREST WITT - CharlieForrestmost recently appeared in West Coast Ensemble'sworldpremiere of "Dogs"directed by Maria Irene Fornes. Prior to thathe enjoyed a six-month run of a Singular Production of "CloudNine" winning a Drama-Logue Award for Male Performance aswell as ensemble & production awards from the L.A. Weekly& the LA Drama Critics Circle. At.the Morgan-Wixson TheaterForrest garnered a Best Actor Award from the Santa MonicaTheatre Guild for his portrayal of Stanley in Pinter's "TheBirthday Party". His film credits include "Dead Man Walking"the "Pentacle" & "The Mistress" for CBS.
