1.ThissoftwarecanonlybeusedwiththecorrespondingOkiDataprinter. TheuserisonlypermittedtoinstallonecopyofPrintJobAccounting(orPrintJobAccountingEnterprise)ononecomputer.Youarerequiredtopurchaseadditionalsoftwareinordertousethissoftwareontwoormorecomputers.

PrintJobAccountingClientcanbeinstalledanusedonanynumberofcomputers.

2.OwnershipofallcopyrightsassociatedwiththissoftwareandanycopiesthereinbelongtoOkiDataandanylicenserwhohasbeengrantedlicensingrightsbyOkiData.Thecustomerisnotgrantedanyrightstothissoftwareotherthantherightsdescribedinthisagreement.Otherthantheinstallationdescribedinarticle1above,thecustomerisnotpermittedtoduplicatethissoftwareinwholeorinpart,ortopermitathirdparttoduplicatethissoftwareinwholeorinpart.Thecustomeragreesnottorevise,modify,translate,reverseengineer,reversecompile,ordisassemblethissoftware.

3.Thecustomeragreesnottorent,loan,lease,distribute,copy,ortransferthissoftwareinanyway.Thecustomeralsoagreesnottoforward,transfer,exportorre-exportthissoftwareoutsideJapan,andnottousethissoftwareforanyunlawfulactivities.

5.Withinaperiodof90(ninety)daysfromthepurchaseofthissoftware,ifaphysicaldefecttotherecordingmediaonwhichthissoftwareisstoredpreventproperuseofthesoftware,OkiDatawillprovideareplacementequivalentitem.Ifthesoftwaredoesnotoperatecorrectlyforanyotherreason,OkiDatawillprovidearefundtothecustomerthatislimitedtotheequivalentcostpaidforthesoftware.However,OkiDataprovidesnowarrantywhatsoeverforanycasesinwhichthesoftwaredoesnotoperatethatarecausedbyaccidents,improperhandling,ormisuseofthesoftwarebythecustomer.FurthermoreOkiDataprovidesnowarrantywhatsoeveragainstproblemsthatariseduetointerferencefromothersoftwareonthecustomer'scomputer.

6.Theselection,use,andresultsofusingthissoftwareareentirelytheresponsibilityofthecustomer.

What is Print Job Accouting? PrintJobAccoutingsetsdetailedprintrestrictionsonprintjobsprintedfromcomputersaccordingtoindividualusersandprinters,andacquiresandsummarizesprintjobinformationin a log.

Special Features of Print Job Accouting

ManagementofPrintRestrictions

• Multipleusersandprinterscanbeputtogetherintogroups,andsettingsforallowinganddisallowingprintingorcolorprintingforeachgroupcanbeconfigured.

• Settingsforallowingordisallowingtheprintingorcolorprintingoftheloginname,applicationname,documentnameorhostnamecanbeconfigured.

• Upperlimitsforthenumberofprintscanbesetaccordingtouser,printer,usergroupandprintergroup.

9. Operating the Log Thissectionexplainssettingsforacquiringthelog,andoperationssuchasdisplayingordeleting the log.

What is the Log? InPrintJobAccouting,variousinformationaboutprintjobssuchaswho,when,andwhichprinterwasusedforprintjobsisstoredontheprinterbuilt-inharddiskorflashmemory.Thisinformationiscalledthelog.Theserversoftwareacquiresthelogfromtheprinteraccordingtoasetschedule.Byloggingthisinformation,itispossibletocheckhowmuchindividualsareprinting,andhowmuchaspecificprinterisbeingused.

Note! •Alogentryismadewhenoneormoresheetsareprinted.Furthermore,logentriesaremadewhenprintingisrejected,orwhenajobiscancelledbecausecolorprintingisrejected.
