One Time Customer
1. Generally when we create customer master record in that process we capture general data, company code
specific data and Sales area data so that it can be used in transaction by just using customer code.
2. But some business process like cash sales retails sales process and during quotation customer is unknown
and not sure whether that customer will do business in future or not.
3. So we don’t want to create customer master record which will not use in future. To avoid, this time and space
consuming activities, SAP has given solution of one time customer functionality.
4. One Time Customer in Sales Order
a. As and when you enter the one customer code in sales transaction document it pop up the
“Address Form”
b. In Address form all fields related Sales document along with VAT Reg No, Unloading point atbottom.
c. Whatever the address will be fill that will be stored only that document in other word it store in
transactional data.

5. One Time customer in FI like Customer in Invoice FI [FB70]
a. In FI posting it will pop up address and bank data screen.
6. One time customer code is created as like other customer [OBD2]
a. Standard account group CPD.
b. In this account group One Time Account check box is activated because of this system know it is
one time customer and when you provide one time customer code in any transaction system
purpose the Address details.

7. Customer Master Record [XD01]
a. Create one time customer with account group like CPD
b. Address and Bank field is not available
c. Country Key is not mandatory

d. Reference Account Group for One time Customer:- when doing any transaction in FI like
FB70:- Customer Invoice, FB75:- Customer Credit Memo etc. that time in pop up scree of address
what are the field will come it is controlled by another account group.
That is called Reference account group.
If we will leave this field blank then it will display all fields in Address screen of FI transaction. You
can refer the point number 5
If you fill the any account group then respective field only appear in address screen.
Example- 0001 account group is reference account group in which reference account group field
should either it should be Required or Optional like below screen shot.
And use this 0001 account group in any one time customer master record as reference account
group.

Now use this one time customer code FB70
You can see now few fields appearing as per active fields of account group in 0001

a. One time customer code can’t be use down payment and posting with special GL indicator
b. Account group cannot be change through XD07
c. During the FI transactions for such customer, you have to enter the Bank details and
reconciliation account manually when posting the FI document

How to See Changes to Customer Master Record
OV51 - Display Changes To Customers
It is standard report delivered by SAP which display information any changes in customer master record of one or
more customers.
This T. Code executes the program name: - RFDABL00

How Default Partner functionality of Customer Master Record behave in Sales
Document
This is a functionality is select default partner out of list of partners belongs to one partner function
during creation of sales document.
This functionality available in partner function tab page in Sales Area section of customer master
record. We have to activate “Default” check box against only one customer under belongs to one
partner function
During creation of sales order, we provide sold to party and if that sold to party has more than one
ship to party then system will show list of ship to parties in selection screen box and default partner
will appear in top position with select mode. If user does not choose any one in selection screen box
then system consider default partner as ship to party but user has option he can select any one out of
them in selection screen box.
Case-1:- if not activated
If default partner is not activating in CMR then system consider first from the top is default partner
belongs to one partner function. In this case in Customer Master Record under Ship to Party (SH)
partner function first from the top 1000 partner is ship to party. Then system will consider 1000 ship
to party as default partner in sales order.

Create sales order fill sold to party and press enter then system will show you Partner Section screen
box and first row is yellow highlighted representing default ship to party in selection mode.
Case 2:- If Default Partner is activated
If default partner check box is activated against any ship to party partner incustomer master then system considers and displays that partner as default and
top selection in selection screen box of sales order.

How to See the Latest change in Material Master Record
Go to change mode [MM02] or Display mode [MM03] of Material Master Record click on ICON
spotted in below screen. After that you will find report of changes of that material Master record
Changing the Base UoM of Material
If you want to change the base UoM for a material master, following are the outlines that needs to be checked
1. Production Data: If it is a finished good or a component of a BOM, then remove BOM, remove assignment to
Routing/Master Recipe, delete production versions. Delete any process/production orders or complete then and
set status to TECO.

2. Purchasing: the deletion flag must be set in all current and old purchase orders and purchase info recs. Delete
entries in source lists, contracts and outline agreements.
3. QM: Make UD on outstanding inspection lots.
4. Planning Data: Delete any forecasts or planned independent requirements or SOP/Flexible planning plans.
5. Sales: Cancel or complete the process for any sales documents (eg orders, deliveries). Remove or disable
pricing records.
6. Warehouse Management: Cancel or complete transfer orders, transfer requirements, posting change notices.
Ensure that no negative bin stock exists that cannot otherwise be balanced by other positive bin stocks.
7. Physical Inventory: Delete old, obsolete (but still active) physical inventory documents. Post Count, Adjust and
close documents, or delete item from active documents.
8. Record previous period stock for the plant (MM03-Accounting). If non-zero then record details by batch and
storage location (table MCHBH if using release > 4.0a?).
9. You must remove previous period stock - the previous period in both MM and GL may need to be reopened
(or wait until month-end processing when both previous and current periods are open simultaneously). To
remove you need to use a transaction such as MI10 or MB1C and use a posting date of the previous period.
10. You must remove any remaining current period stock.
11. Planning Data (cont'd): delete all planned orders. Delete MRP List if any (check with MD05).
12. Costing: Delete any cost estimates.
13. Legacy Systems / Interfaces: Check what impact the change will have.
14. Material Master preparation:
* Ensure no alternative unit of measures are being used on the sales / purchasing / work scheduling / plant
storage 1 views.
* Remove all alternative UoMs from "Extras"
15. CHANGE THE BASE UNIT OF MEASURE. If any errors, then check above steps again.
16. Material Master:
* Modify Planned Price 1, standard cost and/or moving average price on costing and accounting views.* Modify any unit-related fields eg gross/net weights, MRP lot sizes / safety stock
* Re-create any alternative units of measure and re-assign to correct material master views.
17. Recovery: If you need any of the orders or master data deleted in any of the above steps, then now is the
time.
18. Re-enter stock. Do not attempt to add back into previous period especially if using moving average price
control (V) - do not back-date.

Customer Master Data Comparison
Customer Master Data created by Sales Department and Finance Department from their segment .
Sales Department maintain Sales area level and Finance Department maintain Company Code Level.
If Sales Department created customer for sales area but forget to communicate the Finance department that will be
pending and vice versa.
In that scenario we want a report which can help to find out the list of Customer for which sales area maintained
without Company Code like this Company Code maintained without Sales area.

From Selection Parameters choose "Not Created In Fin. Accounting"
Below report display list of customer for which sales is maintained without Company Code.
