TitanMineralsLimited(ASX:TTM)(“Titanorthe“Company”)ispleasedtoannounceithasreceivedanindependentreviewoftheSanSantiagocopperplantbyPrimeroGroup,whichhasrecommendedimplementinganexpansionprogramonthetailingsdamfacilitytoallowforasignificantincreaseofcopperandgoldproduction.TitanintendstosubmitanewdamdesigntothelocalPeruvianauthoritiesinearlyQ12018andaimstobeginconstructioninQ22018subjecttoreceivingtherequiredapprovals.Titan’stechnicalteaminPeruhasundertakenareviewofallartisanalminingoperationsintheCompany’s9,000HapackageacquiredasapartoftheSanSantiagoconcessionandhasidentifiedakeyareathatpreviouslyprovidedhighgradechannelsamplingthattheCompanybelieveswillprovidesuitableadditionaloretofeedtheSanSantiagoplantinthenearfuture.ThisassessmentisongoingandadecisionrelatingtothisareawillbemadeattheconclusionoftheexpansionprocessTheCompanyiscurrentlynegotiatingwithlocalartisanalminersontheSanSantiagoBrasilcoppermineconcessionstostartmovingcopperfeedstocktotheSanSantiagoplantlocation,itisexpectedthatstockpileswillaccumulateduringQ12018fortreatmentonceconstructionfinishesaroundJune2018.

TheCompanyisintheprocessofengagingconsultantstodesignandimplementtheupgradetothetailingsdamfacility.Initial designs are expected in December and fully costed plans are expected to be finalised early 2018, ready forconstruction.TheSanSantiagoplant is currently in careandmaintenanceas thecompanyundertakes the studiesandsubsequentexpansioncapexworks.LargestshareholderAndinaResourceshasreviewedthetailingsexpansionreportandprovidedfurthervalidation,includingitssupportfortheTitanMineralsbusinessplan.TheCompanyplanstoleverageofftheAndinaResourcestechnicalteamwhohasoperatedagoldplantintheareafor8yearsandcontinuestoprovideongoingincountrysupportfromitshighlyexperiencedteam.

OverviewoftheSanSantiagoProcessingPlant

The San Santiago processing plant and mining properties are located in the highly prospective Cobrepampa areasurroundingtheAcariregion,whichhasbeenproducingcopper,goldandsilverformorethan40years.TheareaisalsohosttotwolargeChinese-ownedIOCGdeposits,MarconaandPampadelPongo.

TheSanSantiagoprocessingplant,locatedinanestablishedminingregion,isoneoftwoprocessingplantsoperatinginOtapara-theotherbeingownedandoperatedbythelocalOtaparacommunity.Importantly,theSanSantiagoplantisoperational,withaccessto:

• Thenationalgridpowersupply;

• Watersupplyfromonsitebores;

• Tailingsdisposal(expansionisrequired);and

• Allrequiredenvironmentalpermittingandlicensing.

Theprocessingplantcanlegallyprocess350tonnesperday(TPD)ofmaterialthroughacombinationofitsthreecircuits,including:

o 200TPDCIPgoldcircuito 250TPDcopperflotationcircuit;ando 120TPDcopperoxidecircuit

SanSantiago’scopperflotationcircuitwashistoricallytheplant’sprimaryincomegeneratingasset.It istheintentionofTitan tomodifypre-existing toll treatmentarrangements so thatTitaneventuallyownsandcontrolsalloreminedandprocessedfromwithintheconcessionsandminingrightsithasacquired.Atfullnameplatecapacity,tonnageandgradesbeingprocessedthroughtheplantequatestoapproximately6,000tonnesperannumofcontainedcopperwithadditionalgoldandsilvercredits.

This concentrate is currently among the cleanest concentrate available in the Peruvianmarket. It contains a premiumcoppergradewithgoldandsilvercreditswhilstbeingextremelylowinpenalty-attractingimpurities,enhancingitsappealinmetalsblending.Mostoftheconcentrateisprimarilysoldintothespotmarkettoanumberoftraders.

Theadditionalcopperoxidecircuit,usedonabatch-onlybasiscurrently,isavaluableassetlong-termfortheCompany,given the presence of large non-JORC copper oxide resources in the surrounding concessions. Once the necessarypermittingisobtained,itwillrequiresomeupgradesinorderforittobeutilisedonafull-timebasis.WewilllooktopermitandrefurbishthegoldcircuitatSanSantiago.Thegoldcircuitwillbeabletoproduce35,000ozperannum.

Titan’sgoldassetsincludeitssmall-scaleminesattheTorrecillasproject.AtTorrecillas,anumberofhigh-gradenarrowgoldveinshavebeendevelopedandminedbyTitanMinerals.Thisgoldproject,locatedjust180kmsfromtheprocessingplant, arepartof16,000Haconcessionpackage that also contain two large tonnage, low-gradedisseminated targetscontainingknowngoldandcopperwithsilverandmolybdenummineralization.
