REMOVAL

1. Remove the front door trim panel.

2. Remove the side impact energy absorption panel.

3. Remove the screw.

4. Detach the door latch remote control.

1. Detach the handle from the door panel.

2. Detach the door latch remote control.

5. Peel back the watershield. CAUTION : Do not touch the adhesive surface asre-bonding will be impaired.

6. Disconnect the door latch actuator electrical connector.

7. Loosen the screw. NOTE : The screw must he fully disengaged from the doorlock cylinderbezel although it is not necessary to fully remove the screw.

8. Remove the door lock cylinderbezel.

12. Detach the door latch.

1. Press the door latch to release.2. Detach the door latch.

13. Detach the door latch security shield.

14. Remove the door latch and exterior door handle reinforcement plate.

15. Disconnect the exterior door handle reinforcement plate connecting rod.

1. Rotate the clip counterclockwise to release the connecting rod.2. Disconnect the connecting rod.

16. Disconnect the door lock cylinderconnecting rod.

17. Remove and discard the adjustment clip.

18. Remove the door latch

1. Detach the door latch remote control outer cable.2. Rotate the door latch remote control clockwise.3. Remove the door latch.

INSTALLATION

1. Install the door latch remote control to the door latch.2. Install the door handle adjustment clip and connecting rod. NOTE :

l Install a new adjustment clip.l Do not lock the adjustment clip into place at this stage.

3. Connect the door lock cylinderconnecting rod.

4. Connect the exterior door handle retaining plate connecting rod.

1. Connect the connecting rod.2. Rotate the clip to lock the connecting rod in position.

5. Install the door latch.

6. Install the screws. NOTE : Do not tighten the door latch screws at this stage.

7. Install the door latch.

1. Slide the door latch into position.2. Press the door latch to engage the locking tangs.

8. Attach the door latch security shield.

9. Install the exterior door handle.

1. Locate the door handle.2. Slide the door handle rearwards until it locks into place.

10. Tighten the exterior door handle screw.

11. Install the lock cylinder exterior cover.

12. Tighten the door lock cylinderbezel.

13. Press the door latch connecting rod adjustment clip to set the latch position.

14. Connect the door latch actuator electrical connector.

15. Tighten the door latch screws16. Re-bond the watershield.

17. Attach the door latch remote control.

1. Locate the handle into the fixing.2. Install the door latch remote control.

18. Install the screw.

19. Install the side impact energy absorption panel.

20. Close the door latch lever in the jaws of the door latch. NOTE : Two audibleclicks should be heard when the door latch lever is closed completely.

21. Lock and unlock the door latch using the rocker lever on the door latchremote control handle.

22. Open the door latch using the exterior door handle. The door latch should open

at approximately 75% of handle full travel. The exterior door handle shouldhave between 5-6 mm of travel after the door latch has released.

23. If the door latch does not open correctly remove the door latch and reset thedoor latch connecting rod adjustment clip.

24. Install the front door trim panel.
