Alpha® brand Hot-Rod Blade Alpha has once again developed a revolutionary way to improve the efficiency of granite fabricators. For years, granite workers have employed labor-intensive procedures for creating channels in the underside of countertops to accommodate stainless steel reinforcing rods at sink and cooktop cutouts. Alpha recognized the opportunity for improvement and developed the Alpha Hot-Rod. With this blade attached to our AWS-110 Wet Circular Saw, a fabricator can accomplish the task in one easy pass. The blade was created with diamond grits and matrix best suited for all categories of granite, including hard red granites, to assure long cutting life. At a 3" diameter, the blade allows for ease of use and better leverage when cutting 1/4” deep channels, by al-lowing for better positioning of the saw’s handle. The 1/4” thick segments provide the perfect size to accommodate the stainless steel rods. If you employ the use of reinforcing rods in your granite fabrication, attach this unique blade to our AWS-110 for a smooth, dust-free operation. Used in this manner, productivity in your shop will increase significantly. While we recommend wet cutting, blade may be used wet or dry.

Dry Granite Polishing Discs


Diamax Cyclone Dry Polishing Disks These polishing disks have been taking America by storm for the last 6 years. Over these years they have often been imitated but never duplicated. These pads give you the option of polishing an edge or even the face of your surface without water. There is no other dry pad available today that is more flexible for ogee edges and under-mount sink polishing. We suggest that you try the 5000 grit with a little bit of water instead of a resin final buff on hard to polish surfaces like Uba Tuba or Black Galaxy. The finish will amaze you.

These polishing disks were designed to make curved surface polishing fast, simple, and convenient. Available in the 3" diameter and in 8 steps including a final buff polisher.


Backer Pads

Alpha® brand Rigid Backer Pads Alpha Professional Tools first introduced rubber backer pads with the AEP-458 electric polisher to promote the concept of wet polish-ing, which became the accepted method of polishing. Alpha recognized the need to add a rigid version of this backer pad to its product line for straight edge or flat surface polishing applications. We realized that Ceramica, with a flexible backer pad, was too flexible for these applications and produced wavy finishes. Alpha Rigid Backer Pads served to eliminate the wavy finish by keeping the Ceramica flat to the polished surface. Although not the best alternative compared to Twistouch Turbo for this application, fabricators and tile contractors use it with good results. Restoration workers find that the rigidness of the pad enables them to work in small areas such as corners or staircases. Large machine manufacturers began to recommend flexible diamond discs for use on their automatic edge pol-ishing machines specifically for the bullnose application using the Alpha Rigid Backer Pad. Hook and loop backed, like the flexible pads, they also accept Ceramica, Sandpaper, and Felt Wheels. The Rigid Backer Pad reduces surface distortion and wavy results on straight edges. Available in 3”, 4” and 5” sizes, the Rigid Backer Pad is exclusive to Alpha Professional Tools. It comes in the standard 5/8”-11 thread commonly found on most polishing tools today.
