The Statesmen and Lady Statesmen boast nine national championships, 55 regional crowns and 46 conference titles. Delta State athletes have collected 45 Academic All-American honors to rank tenth all-time in NCAA Division II history.

You’ve got options.

Delta State University offers a comprehensive program of financial aid to assist

students in obtaining a college education. Financial Aid is granted to students

on the basis of financial need.

Students should apply for federal financial aid on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov no later

than March 1 of each year. The federal aid programs available for eligible Delta

State Students are:

Pell Grant Subsidized Stafford Loan PLUS loan

SMART Grant Unsubsidized Stafford Loan SEOG

Work Study Perkins Loan

If you are a dependent undergraduate student, the maximum you can borrow

each year is $7500 as a Junior or Senior. ($2000 of this amount must be an

unsubsidized loan)

If you are an independent undergraduate student or a dependent student whose

parents are unable to get a PLUS loan (a parent loan), the maximum you can

borrow each year is $12,500 as a Junior or Senior. ($7500 of this amount must

be an unsubsidized loan)

NOTE: All students will not receive the maximum amount. No student will receive more than the maximum amount.

So here’s what it takes to get in.

Students who meet the requirements for entering freshmen

may transfer to Delta State University from a regionally

accredited community, junior or senior college, provided

a 2.0 GPA has been maintained on all college courses

attempted.

Students must also be in good academic standing

with the last college or university attended.

Any student who does not meet entering freshmen

requirements may transfer to Delta State University after

completing the following 24 semester credit hours with an

overall 2.0 GPA on all hours attempted:

6 semester hours of english composition

3 semester hours of college algebra or higher math

6 semester hours of laboratory science

9 semester hours of transferable electives
