• Supplied area graduate schools and their students with free consultationregarding employment and networking

• Served as a resource linking hundreds of area businesses seeking high qualityemployees with professionals looking for an optimal employment fit throughcareer fairs, networking events, Internet activity and personal referrals

• Provided consulting services for area small businesses through the CommunityConsulting Clinic (CCC)

• Provided unique professional development opportunities for area businessmenand women

• Created the National Leaders of Tomorrow Business Case Competition

Leaders of Tomorrow(LOT)

Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) is a year-round educational andmentorship initiative designed to increase academic achievement,professional development, college preparation, community service andcultural awareness by guiding African-American high school studentsthrough a structured program of training and leadership activities.

Student Outreach

MBA ConnectsWill commence in 2009 to connect seasoned professionals with areaMBA students. The goal is to develop a mentoring program where MBAstudents will obtain valuable career advice from professionals looking tolend their business expertise.

Scholarship ProgramStudent Outreach will continue to evaluate and award scholarships. In2009, Student Outreach’s goal is to provide at least 8 scholarships forLOT, undergraduate and graduate students.

Scholarship & Awards BanquetProvides an opportunity to recognize our scholarship recipients, LOTstudents, corporate partners, and members that have demonstratedunyielding support to the chapter throughout the year.

Wealth BuildingSeries (WBS)

The Wealth Building Series (WBS) is a comprehensive set ofworkshops designed to strengthen the economic and intellectual wealthof the Chapter’s community. WBS workshops have impacted over 500participants since the program’s 2002 inception.

CommunityConsulting Clinic

Community Consulting Clinic (CCC) provides consulting services tocurrent or aspiring entrepreneurs whose level of financial resourcesmakes it difficult to solicit professional business advice. CCC supports2-4 member consulting teams that assist entrepreneurs. Over a 3month period, CCC consulting teams meet with an assignedentrepreneur and assist in implementing business ideas.

Services offered by CCC teams may include but are not limited to:

Market surveys Budgeting/accounting advice Advertising strategy IT evaluation

Entrepreneur’sShowcase

• Provides local entrepreneurs:– A platform to promote products and services– Opportunity to build relationships with other vendors

General BodyMeetings (GBMs)

GBMs provide professional development opportunities for ourmembership. They also provide the ideal opportunity to meet face toface with talented MBA professionals in a relaxed environment. As apartner, you will have the opportunity to:

• Set up a table to disseminate information• Provide speaker(s) for program or make remarks• Inform membership about employment opportunities

Strokes FORE Scholarships is our annual golf event that supports thescholarship program for our Leaders of Tomorrow, undergraduate andgraduate students. Some of the partnership opportunities available forthis event include:

Annual GivingCampaign

OverviewThe Annual Giving Campaign was created to increase funds in supportof professional development programs for the general membership andfor the Leaders of Tomorrow high school mentorship program. TheCampaign provides Chapter members and supporters a venue to maketax deductible contribution to the organization.

Matching ContributionsAs a partner of the Annual Giving Campaign, your organization wouldprovide a matching contribution to the campaign for each dollar that ourmembership contributes to this year’s campaign, up to a predeterminedmaximum amount.

Local Career Fair

The Career Fair provides an opportunity to meet face to face withtalented MBA professionals seeking employment. As a partner, you willhave the opportunity to set up a booth at the career fair and be featuredin all event correspondence and marketing materials.

Career Fair Partnership includes 12 months of complimentary job postsand resume database access. Booth registration includes 3 months ofcomplimentary job posts and resume database access.

Career Fair Partnership also includes recognition as a featuredemployer with our Online Career Network.
