Poinsettia OrdersPoinsettia OrdersPoinsettia OrdersPoinsettia Orders

Consider helping us decorate our sanctuary for Christmas with the donation of a poinsettia or two in memory or

honor of someone dear to you. The money received will be used to purchase live poinsettias and silk flowers for year round arrangements. The cost of the poin-

settias is $22. Place your donation in a "flower envelope" found in the Narthex, then put it in the offering plate or bring/send it to the church no later than December 10th. A listing of those remembered and by whom will be included in the church

bulletin. If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Kelly.

CITY MISSION-TOY STORE COLLECTION

Each year, for 3 days in December, The Schenectady City Mission transforms itself into an amazing toy store. This is the place local families can come and Celebrate the Christmas season by selecting toys (free of charge) for their children. This year, our church family would like to participate by focusing on a toy collection for the teen boys and girls up to age 14. Items such as hair products, nail polish, fashion scarves, headphones, fashion bags, sports caps, footballs, basketballs, bath prod-ucts, body spray etc. are welcomed. Be creative! Bring your items to the Giving Chest located in the Hall of Missions no later than Sunday Dec. 16th and help us be a blessing to our community!

Please remember to continue to pray for our Pastoral Search Committee

Update: The search committee is now working on compiling and reviewing survey results, creating church, community and

historical profiles and exploring procedures we will use for connecting

with pastoral candidates. We thank the congregation for your ongoing

prayer support.

Women’s Christmas Party Women’s Christmas Party Women’s Christmas Party Women’s Christmas Party Monday, December 10

7:00 to 9:00pm

We will have caroling, cookies, and time

together as we celebrate all we love about the holidays.

Carol Christensen will share her thoughts about this special

time of year.

You are welcome to invite a friend who needs some holiday

cheer. Please bring a small ornament or decoration wrapped

with your name inside.

Join us at the Williams’ home:

29 Velina Drive, Burnt Hills.

Come and pray for our church and its leaders.

We will meet in rooms 5 & 6 on the 2nd & 3rd Tuesdays of each month and pray for our church and its leaders while the Boards and Elders

have their meetings.

Do you like to work with children? Do you want to be a

part of teaching them about Jesus and His love for

them? Are you a member of EGCC? We are looking for

Junior Church teachers starting in the spring. The chil-

dren are in two classes: 4 years old - 1st graders and 2nd

-4th graders. The classes meet during the second half

of the Sunday Worship Service. We would provide you with cur-

riculum which includes activities as well as a Bible lesson. There

is a rotating schedule, on which you would teach once every 5-6

weeks. This is a great way to serve our families at EGCC. It’s ex-

citing to see children's enthusiasm and wonder as they learn

about the God who loves them in an interactive setting.

If you are interested in volunteering and/or have questions

about this opportunity, please contact Susan Perregaux at 384-

7296.

Go to www.egcchurch.org and check out our new website! Thank You - Alex Crum and Steve Blais for dedicating so much time, energy, and creativity to the project!
