ITS TIME FOR A NEW Y! Since 1866 the Williamsport YMCA has
served the needs of our community. In1922 funds were raised to build the buildingon 4 th st. Now after 8 additions we have210,000 sqft and over 70,000sqft ofunusable space (halls, stairwells andduplicated spaces). With a new moreefficient facility we will be able to servemore needs of our community. Resourceswe currently put into our old inefficient
building will be used for programs that meetcommunity need, like at risk teen programs,Diabetes prevention, Cancer survivor, Stage3 cardiac rehab and many more. We needyour help to create a new YMCA facility thatwill ensure the Ys sustainability andempower it to better serve our community.
The New 60,000 sqft facility will be located just south of the new Susquehanna HealthSystems Tower of Hope.The new facility will include;- Bright, safe and accessible classrooms
for infant through preschool- Large open wellness area with natural
light, racquetball courts & childwatch- Teen / senior center- A new pool will include a zero depth entry
ramp to ensure accessibility- The gymnasium will be suitable for many
sports and will include a walking track- Men, Women and Family locker rooms- Community lounge area adjacent to the
