Best Moment in Band: About 30 minutes into a 10 hour bus ride to wonderful Cleveland, Tom Barnes and I texted Mr. Arena, "Are we there yet?" "No no." "...You sure?" Now he will know who it was. Unfortunately, three sentences cannot possibly express the amount of appreciation I have for the people I have met through this organization. They changed my life entirely. Alma Valeria Albarran Martinez Years in Marching Band: 5 Years in Colorguard: 5 Music Related Activities: HHS Spring Musical Additional Activities/Clubs: Yearbook, Peer tutoring, Renaissance club, Spring Musical, Morning Announcements, NHS, Senior Class Committee, S.A.D.D club Leadership Positions in Band: Color Guard Captain Future Plans: Marketing Major Favorite Quote: "You only have one life, so why mistake it as something negative?"~"Breathe In, Breathe Out" by Set It Off.” Best Moment in Band: During my first year, Video game year, we played a standstill of our show at half time in the pouring rain. The away band cheered us on the entire time, and we all ended soaking wet afterwards. We all pushed through it to finish the show despite the conditions we were performing in. Thanks and Appreciation: Band has been a huge part of my life, and I want to thank everyone in band and guard that made my five years enjoyable and worthwhile. Guard is very important to me; my instructors always encouraged me to keep pushing myself, and I'm really thankful for that as well. Brianna Berenato Years in Marching Band: 1 Years as Band Aid: 1 Music Related Activities: Marching Band Additional Activities/Clubs: Swim Team, Dance, Mock Trial, Key Club, Student Council, NHS, Play Instruments Played: Flute Leadership Positions: Captain of Swim Team, Dance Assistant Teacher Future Plans: To major in Pre-med and then to enroll in medical school. Favorite Quote: "If you hear music, dance.” Best Moment in Band: My favorite moment was when the band went to Nationals and I got to watch them perform to their greatest ability and lend a helping hand with the technical things. Thanks and Appreciation: I want to thank all of the people who supported me throughout high school and gave me the hope and confidence to reach for my goals.
