PIPELINES TODAY

ENERGY PROCESSING CANADA is the founding publisher of Gas Processing Association Canada’s year-end review. In photos and words, we recap the year that was – the events, presentations and fun on the links. This Year in Review will be at a number of expositions in 2013, including the GPA Convention on April 7 - 10 in San Antonio, Texas and GO-EXPO in Calgary on June 11 - 13.

We’ll feature the ways and means the industry employs to stay healthy, safe and kind to the environment while remaining cost effective. This issue will be featured prominently at the Petroleum Safety Conference, May 6 to 10 in Banff.

In this issue, ENERGY PROCESSING CANADA will cover the operation, maintenance, application and design of gas compression systems, specifi-cally those involved in the petrochemical and related processing industries.

With timely articles, both technical and company specific, ENERGY PROCESSING CANADA has covered the ever-changing downstream sector, chronicling the movers and shakers and defining events.

In order to serve the multibillion-dollar pipeline industry, ENERGY PROCESSING CANADA added a new self-contained section in early 2007. PIPELINES TODAY, now a permanent fixture in ENERGY PROCESSING CANADA, addresses the issues and concerns of pipeliners as well as highlighting the people involved in this essential and complex industry.

Find out below what we’re planning for editorial in 2013. We’re always looking for suggestions, so don’t hesitate to let us know.

Product control is only achieved through the efficient and reliable implementa-tion of these three integral pieces of equipment, but the choice can be bewil-dering. ENERGY PROCESSING CANADA will give you new perspectives onwhat works in what application.

Automation – From control systems to PLCs, automation has shifted from increasing productivity and reducing costs to broader issues such as increasing quality and flexibility.

Communications & Information Solutions – From the ability to quickly access real-time data to the latest technology, we’ll investigate.

New technology is front and centre at theGO-EXPO, June 11 to 13 at Calgary’s Stampede Grounds. If you want maximum coverage at this event, let us display your products – especially new products/new technology – through our distribution of this special GO-EXPO Show issue.

Alberta’s oilsands deposits are an unparalleled resource: more than 1.7 trillion barrels of bitumen, of which over 300 billion barrels are expected to be potentially recoverable. Right now more than 25% of Canada’s crude oil comes from the oilsands. ENERGY PROCESSING CANADA will focus on the progress of projects planned or currently under construction. This issue will be distributed at the Oil Sands Trade Show & Conference in Fort McMurray on September 10 to 12.

Plant maintenance and turnaround programs and expenditures are a mul-tibillion-dollar business in the downstream industry. Even with grassroots construction, existing plants must continue to operate so we’ll explore the countless products which maximize a plant’s bottom line.

From acid gas injection to carbon dioxide storage, sequestration can be complicated and expensive.

New products/new technology – from alternate solutions to high-impact exca-vation to new types of steel and how welding techniques have to adapt.

Construction – To discover the latest in construction issues and concerns, we’ll talk with the people involved.
