Did you know The Appeal grants $145,000 per year to fund 4 full-time Catholic chaplains in the health region? They provide care 24/7 None of their funding comes from government sources 4. Did you know It can cost up to $35,000 per year to prepare a seminarian for the priesthood This past year, you helped support 6 young men discerning their vocations 5. Did you know You help feed the hungry, clothe the poor and comfort the distressed? The Appeal makes grants to Catholic Family Services, Martha House, Visitation House and many other local Catholic aid agencies 6. Did you know Faith formation and education is not just for children? The Appeal funds Lay Ministry Formation, Catechetics and the John Paul II Centre for Adult Faith Education and Formation all of which serve adults AND children! 7. Did you know There are over 60 youth and young adults in Youth leadership throughout the archdiocese? Lives are changing, Leaders are emerging These youth are leading the church now and taking on ministry positions in the Church because of their experiences. 8.
