Camp Ooch 2013 Spring Programs Family events - all ages Breakfast in Paris Saturday, April 6th, 9:30 -11:30am Join us with the whole family for petit dejeuner (breakfast) at Ooch Downtown. You’ll kick off your weekend with live music, a delicious breakfast, great games, crafts, sports, and more! Food will be served from 9:30-10:30am. Family Jays Day Saturday, May 4th Show your spirit as we cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays – Camp Ooch style! The afternoon will start with a pep rally at the Hard Rock Cafe in the Rogers Centre where we will have lunch, make posters, test your arm at the ball toss, and have a great view of the Blue Jays warm up before making our way to our seats to cheer on the Jays as they take on the Seattle Mariners! 3 For 1! Wednesday, May 15th, 6:30 - 8:00pm Start the night with a camp style meal followed by 3 programs for campers/teens/parents & guardians. Choose between: • Cupcakes Galore - Adult & Teen Join team Le Dolci’s Toronto Food Studio in our teaching kitchen at Ooch Downtown as we explore the joys of cupcake design. • Bike Workshop 101 - Adult & Teen Now’s your chance to learn the basics of bike repair with an expert. • Kids Art Surprise! - Ages 4-12 Please arrive at 6:30pm for dinner as workshops will begin at 7:00pm. Dinner & A Rooftop Movie Party! Friday, May 31st, 6:00 - 9:00pm Looking for a fun family outing for Friday night? Look no further! Join us with your family in your best pair of PJs! We will have two movies set up on big screens, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the show – with a bowl of popcorn, of course! Summer Kickoff Party Saturday, June 15th, 12:00 - 3:00pm Get geared up for summer as we celebrate its arrival at Ooch Downtown. With snow-cones, carnival games, and much more, this is the perfect chance to re-connect with your old friends, make some new ones, and get excited for the awesome summer ahead! This is a great event for new families and campers going to camp for the first time. Gone Fishin’ Tuesday, June 18th, 12:30 - 3:00pm Do you love fishing? Have you always wanted to try, but never had the opportunity? Well, now’s your chance! We’ll be heading to Scadding Court Community Centre - just minutes from Ooch Downtown, where we’ll be fishing for trout out of the “pond“! Don’t let this one get away! Please note that space is limited for this program. The Amazing Race - Version Ooch Saturday, June 22nd, 10:00am - 1:30pm Discover Toronto in a whole new way with a little team challenge intertwined! We’ll meet at Ooch Downtown for a prep party & send off, then follow the clues to end the race at our secret lunch location. Don’t forget to sign up…it’s going to be an amazing day! programs for campers AGES 6-12 Earth Day Explorers (ages 8-12) Sunday, April 21st, 10:00am - 3:00pm What better way to celebrate Earth Day than on an outdoor adventure with your friends from Ooch? Meet us at the Brickworks where we’ll spend the day getting our hands dirty building shelters, cooking over the fire, taking a short nature walk, and making s’mores! It’s a day you won’t want to miss. P.A. Play Day (ages 6-12) Friday, June 7th, 9:00am - 3:30pm School’s out! Come to Ooch Downtown where we’ll be planting our community garden and cooking up a storm. Can’t wait to see you all there! Summer Specialties Week (ages 8-12) Tuesday, July 2nd - Friday July 5th, 9:00am - 3:00pm Visit us daily and enjoy new activities and guest programming…and maybe even a dip in the pool. Summer Specialties week is a great opportunity to make new friends and learn some great skills! Night at the Zoo! (ages 6-10) Friday, July 5th 3:00pm - Saturday July 6th, 11:00am Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Join Ooch on a behind-the-scenes look at life at the zoo… and then we’ll sleep over to make it that much more cool! Spaces are limited, so be sure to sign up soon! Camp-a-thon! (ages 4-18) Saturday, April 27th 10:00am – 4:00pm Get ready for another season of Camp-a-thon! Whether you’re a junior, intermediate, or senior camper, there’s something for you! Reconnect with old camp friends and make some new friends too! Play your favourite games! Sing songs! Make crafts! Learn something new! It’s everything you love about Ooch packed into one amazing day. Just like a campfire at camp, you’ll have the opportunity to perform a skit, song, joke, or animal noise, so come prepared if you choose to share! Parents are more than welcome to join us for the campfire portion of the day.
