The price of or- ange ranges from Rs 68 to Rs 102, depending on the vari- ety. Farmers have in- creased the price of bananas and oranges by Rs 5. Hence, we are forced to sell at higher rate as demand is more.” The price of watermelons has also increased within two weeks. “The rates of both varieties of watermelon (dark green Ki- ran and light green watermel- on) have increased by Rs 15 to Rs 20 per kg,” said Russell Mar- ket Traders’ Association gen- eral secretary Mohammed Idrees Choudhury.
