    All courses are registered on-line. Note that late registration will not be

    processed.1. First stage online course registration

    1.1) for former and transfer students is from August 14, 9am, to August 20,4pm, 2013.

    1.2) for new students is from September 3, 9am, to September 4, 4pm, 2013.2. Adding/Dropping courses begins from September 16, 12am, to September 23,4

    pm, 2013.3. Current students should register for courses at the time of resuming their study.

    Apply fordormitory

    1. The dormitory application for new students is due by August 1, 2013~August 14, 2013.

    2. Application Form for Dormitory can be downloaded fromhttp://www.ord.nkfust.edu.tw/english/Download.aspx?n=5.

    3. Please pay the dormitory fees by September 9st, 2013, after receiving thedormitory payment notice. If the payment is not received by the due date,your dormitory room will be allocated to another applicant.

    4. Date for moving into the dorm: August 31 & September 1, 2013,08:30~17:30. (Please prepare your own bedding.)

    5. The dormitory fees: NT$5,500 per semester for male dorm and NT$ 6,100per semester for female dorm. Moreover, aNT$2,000 dorm. deposit

    is required in each semester, and this deposit will be refunded when movingout of the dorm.6. For Air conditioning rooms on the 4 th&5th floor of male dorm, the fees will

    be NT$6,500 per semester and NT$7,100 per semester for the rooms on the

    top floor of female dorm.Check Air conditioning room on the applicationform.

    7. A Pre-paid card will be required for air conditioning; fees for airconditioning will be paid by roommates equally.

    8. Note that room lights will be turned off in midnight for saving energy.Please prepare your own desk lamps. Internet will also be cut off from 2 amto 5 am.

    1. The enrollment refers to: the review of student qualification, collection ofstudent card, freshman health check, payment of tuition and other relatedfees, etc.

    2. New students should collect their student cards, and current students shouldhave the registration stamp marked on their cards. Class representativesshould collect new student cards or current student cards for stamping at theOffice of Research and Development during September 9 ~October 4, 2013.

    3. Student enrollment ends with the due date of adding/dropping courses.Those who do not complete the enrollment by the due date will lose their

    To understand students opinions about instructors teaching method, students areasked to do a questionnaire for teachers teaching adjustment referencein 2 to 3 weeks before the end of every semester.

    Health InsuranceInsurance International students should purchase their own health insurance for the first six months of theirstay in Taiwan, until they are eligible to enroll in the National Health Insurance Program. Overseasinsurance should be certified by the Taiwan Overseas Representative Office in the students countryof origin or the nearest Taiwan Overseas Representative Office.

    Background and Regulation

    According to National Health Insurance Act, any foreigners who have stayed in Taiwan oversix months are obligated to underwrite in the NHI system. Hence, all NKFUST internationalstudents need to underwrite either in NKFUST or other associations.
