Welcome to beautiful Tucson, Arizona, and the 2014 ANNA Conference!  Apache Nitrogen Products, Inc. (ANPI) is proud to host this world‐class event in conjunction with the ANNA Executive, and together we look forward to showcasing the rustic beauty of the Sonoran Desert and Southern Arizona while gathering for the valuable educational and networking opportunities the ANNA conference is renowned for.  Tucson has a rich cultural history, honoring Native American, Hispanic and “Old West” Cowboy cultures in a truly unique manner, and our organizing committee plans to highlight this trio of cultures with the entertainment, food and activities throughout the week.  Additionally, from our traditional opening reception on Sunday to our special event Monday at Old Tucson Studios, and our full suite of sight‐seeing and relaxation excursions planned for Wednesday, we’ve built a robust event designed to encourage and facilitate stirring discussion and long‐lasting relationships.  And when speaking about long‐term relationships, it’s important to note ANPI’s legacy in Arizona. Incorporated in 1920 – a scant eight years after Arizona gained statehood. And as ANPI looks forward to a bright, exciting future, we never forget our humble beginnings as dynamite and explosives manufacturer Apache Powder.  As you walk through the lobby during this year’s conference, please take a moment to explore the “angel buggy” we have brought from our site. Aptly named, these nitroglycerin carts, among many other fascinating facts and figures are detailed and featured in The Chronicle – The Apache Powder Story, written by former ANPI employee Larry Scott. We will have copies of Larry’s book available as a gift from Apache, throughout the conference, and they make for both an interesting read and a memorable keepsake of your time in Tucson.  The theme of this year’s event is “Towards world class…”, a theme reflective of the industry’s growing place in the industrial manufacturing realm. Worldwide, recent incidents have demonstrated how integral and necessary best practice sharing opportunities like the 2014 ANNA Conference are, and our vast array of speakers and presentations will speak to all facets of the industry – from safety to production, and everything in between.  Also, please let me formally invite you on an in‐person tour of ANPI’s production facility in just Southeast of Tucson in beautiful Cochise County. On behalf of the entire ANPI team, we are very proud of our facility, and are eager to welcome you inside our gates.   Let me close by reminding you the 2014 ANNA Conference offers you an agenda full of high quality presentations, round tables and networking opportunities with industry experts from around the world.  We are very pleased to see that this year’s registration total has surpassed expectations, featuring attendees from 34 different countries and an international diversity that only adds to the global scale of what we’re trying to accomplish.  Please enjoy everything that Tucson and the 2014 ANNA Conference has to offer, and enjoy your networking and fellowship.  Yours truly,

Jeremy Barrett President and General Manager Apache Nitrogen Products, Inc.

Services New for 2014, Metallix Refining introduces APR³ a unique furnace for recovering PGM’s from Scrap Sludges, Filters and other PGM bearing scrap materials.

PGM bearing Sludges and Filters are extremely valuable and subject to expensive loses during the recovery process. APR³protects the PGM’s from losses by processing them in an oxygen starved, nitrogen infused atmosphere using radiant heat to control combustion inside the furnace. APR³ produce a turbulent free environment inside the furnace to minimize PGM losses during the process.

Metallix’s APR³ is the only furnace of its kind in our industry and is a far more advanced process compared to industry standard furnaces that burn the valuable PGM materials in an oxygen rich atmosphere, where they can not control combustion of the scrap materials, and risk precious metals losses.

Products NOx Emissions Control Programs for startups, shutdowns and trip outs; programs for acid tank storage NOx control and for acid bleaching.

Services

US Peroxide offers proprietary technology in NOx emissions control, utilizing hydrogen peroxide based programs to design the most effective systems to control NOx emissions during those operational times such as startups, shutdowns, or trip outs when normal abatement is non- operational. We offer a total program which includes all application and engineering technology as well as supply of chemical, equipment and services required.

Our technical team will evaluate your plant’s operation and develop a program to control emissions and engineer equipment systems which will supply the proper dosing of chemical to meet your emissions requirements outside of the normal abatement systems. For certain plant operations, these systems can sometimes be utilized for total abatement.
