Greetings Allen Edmonds Friends and Extended Family,

A subtle transformation has occurred over the past several years in how professional men approach their wardrobes. Perhaps the greatest changes are in their consideration of shoes, where the average pair count in a closet is doubling. The advent of attractive brown leather colors, colored laces, colored midsoles and heel kickers, new rubber soles and dress boots — along with the colorful patterned sock trend — are all

evidence of a major increase in the importance of personality-fitting style, below the knees. Not to be outdone, with open collars leaving belts more clearly on display, the importance of belt style and quality

has also gone way up.

At Allen Edmonds, we take great care both to follow and lead the changing fashion tastes of Allen Edmonds Men. Inside this catalog, you’ll find the broadest collection of Allen Edmonds product that we have ever offered. We’ve added new colors and styles to our Timeless Classics and expanded our casual, comfort,

and dress offerings, assuring options suitable for any occasion. One of our most exciting new styles is the Carlyle (catalog cover photo), which epitomizes the beauty and elegance of classic simplicity. We think that style has the potential to be our #1 at some point down the road. Look also at the Baton Rouge on page 48, a traditional cap toe oxford in vibrant linen with a nubuck cap and contrast color piping; a perfect balance of

classic and casual. Plus, our belt line has been greatly expanded with some attractive new entrants while the Manistee belt remains our top seller.

In addition to our product line, there have been other significant updates at Allen Edmonds recently. In the fall, we refreshed our branding with an updated logo and message. Each element of the new crest

reflects our heritage — 1922 is the year of our founding, the shoemaker’s hammer affirms our commitment to handcrafted quality in all we do, and the shield shape itself harkens both to the craftsmen guilds in the golden ages of artisans as well as to the membership we share with our customers in a “club” of common

values. Our tagline too has changed. “An American Original” represents the very essence of our 92 year old company and, more to the point, it reflects our incredibly impressive customers of all ages, who lead our

country in all walks of life.

Other developments include a third welted shoe production line that ultimately will increase our small batch and custom offerings and at the same time accelerate the delivery times for customized products. And, as you may have read in the news, our company has changed ownership: with private equity firm

extraordinaire Brentwood Associates leading a group of new equity partners, including management, in a strong balance sheet built for growth.

Through it all, the Allen Edmonds story remains one of consistency. We are defined by what remains unchanged — superior service to our customers, transcendent values of craftsmanship, high quality

To remove any natural oils or residue in areas where the shoe flexes and to maintain the leather’s quality, simply brush the leather with a horsehair shine brush or wipe with a cotton flannel polishing cloth. Polish occasionally with Allen edmonds Cordovan Care Cream to protect the leather and maintain its rich color.

360° G oody e A r w e ltwhile Lasts are the key to the classic Allen edmonds fit, it is the welt that actually makes our shoes last so long. An American invention used in Allen edmonds shoes since 1922, the Goodyear welt is the piece of leather that binds the shoe’s upper, the insole and the outsole together. A key element of the durability, flexibility and unsurpassed comfort of our shoes for nearly a century, this welt also allows Allen edmonds to enter our shoes into our legendary Recrafting® service so that the construction truly is as timeless as our styles.

By spreading heated cork throughout the insole cavity prior to the sole being applied, we form a supple layer between the insole and the outsole of the shoe to create a uniquely shaped and malleable footbed. This time-honored process means each shoe forms to the customer’s foot and is the reason why each pair of Allen edmonds has a “custom” feel to it that cannot be replicated, even by modern manufacturing techniques.

Part of what makes Allen edmonds shoes so unique is the extensive range of sizes and widths we offer that makes achieving a perfect fit much simpler. wearing the wrong size shoe can cause not only short-term discomfort but also long-term foot, back and joint ailments that could affect you the rest of your life. Doctors often specifically recommend Allen edmonds shoes to their patients who suffer from such ailments because of our breadth of available sizes. If you are a first-time Allen edmonds customer, it is important that you are fit professionally at an Allen edmonds Retail Store or Authorized Dealer who is familiar with the sizing and fit of Allen edmonds shoes.

Allen edmonds shoes come in lengths from 6-16. each half size increases by approximately one-sixth of an inch and each full size increases by one-third of an inch. The widths of Allen edmonds shoes range from AAA, the narrowest width, to eee, the widest width, with a D width considered medium. Technically speaking, each width increases by approximately three-sixteenths of an inch in total girth.

Another benefit of choosing Allen edmonds shoes is the wide variety of lasts we use. Lasts are foot-shaped forms that provide shoemakers with the basis for building a shoe. while lasts are only one element of getting the right fit, they do play a big role in the overall fit and comfort of your shoes. It is also important to know that the look and fit will vary between lasts, specifically when switching between handsewn and welted lasts. By selecting shoes manufactured on the last that most resembles the contours of your feet, you will achieve a superior fit, only enhancing the comfort of your shoes.

w elted lAStS65 LastKnown more simply as the 5 last, the 65 last is our most popular, classic fitting last. the longest in length of all of our lasts; best for a long, narrow look; and often the best fit for those with high arches. our best-selling Park avenue is made on the 65 last.

97 LastKnown more simply as the 7 last, the 97 last is the best fit for the average foot. the 97 last is one of allen edmonds early lasts, and has a soft, slightly pointed toe. it lays flatter in the toe area for a classic american look.

234 LastKnown more simply as the 4 last, the 234 last was the first allen edmonds last with a non-rounded toe. the 234 last is modeled after the 97 last for the best fit for the average foot, but with a less pronounced point and subtly squared-off toe.

73 LastKnown more simply as the 3 last, the 73 last is designed for classic american designs. the 73 last has the fullest fit measurement in the ball of the foot with a tapered toe and more room across the forefoot.

108 LastKnown more simply as the 8 last, the 108 last has an elongated forepart with a tapered and flatter toe. it is similar to the 222 last with a longer, narrower fit and a rounded toe.

333 Lastthe 333 last has a slightly elongated profile and softer line at the outer edge, with a square shape for a more european or chiseled toe.

79 LastKnown more simply as the 9 last, the 79 last has a tapered back portion which allows for lower, shorter vamp designs creating a low fit across the top of the foot.

121 Lastintroduced in fall 2013, the 121 last is a last that we use exclusively in the manufacturing of boots. this last is rounded and full fitting with a more linear silhouette.

JN9 LastThis is our newest of the Allen edmonds lasts. The JN9 was created for the Jack Nicklaus Collection. The last has a modern, squarer toe and broader toe box to allow for the use of an orthotic. The extra room also lets your foot breath during a long day on the golf course.

114 LastSemi-round toe handsewn last with a slightly shorter vamp; fuller across the ball of the foot.

800 LastA classic, great fitting handsewn last with a sleek but rounded toe and steeper arch; roomier across the ball of the foot with a nice, rounded shape.

606 LastThis is our newest of the Allen edmonds lasts. The 606 last has a broad, flat toe providing a roomier forepart. The instep transition and cone rise is farther back than a typical Allen edmonds last.

145 LastSlightly square toe handsewn last with an elongated forepart; used for ae by Allen edmonds drivers collection.

2592 LastA rounded, fuller toe handsewn last. 1/8 inch longer than the 114 last to accommodate a fuller, foam sock liner and heel-to-toe padding.

athletes. In addition to our large size and width offering, our shoes are constructed on a

number of different lasts. each last has slightly different shapes, which lead to differing

fit characteristics so it’s easy for a man to find a last that fits his specific foot shape for

everlasting comfort. By referencing the shoe size charts below, you can see which charts

offer shoes in larger sizes (14, 15 and 16) and widths (e, ee and eee).

In addition, we offer a wide range of belt sizes and several of our belts are available

as special orders in larger sizes (46-60). In 2012, Allen edmonds became the official shoe

of the National Basketball Coaches Association. These gentlemen often require longer and

wider shoes, making Allen edmonds the perfect partner.
