    We Are Australian

    21. Principal Speak

    I am pleased to offer my congratulations to our organising team and Chinese teachers

    from each participated school of the 2014 NSW Chinese Language Spectacular, for all

    of your dedication and hard work in preparing this milestone event.

    This Spectacular is a good opportunity for students NSW to express their understand

    of Chinese culture through poetry, song, dance and various other artistic forms.

    This event marks the 10th anniversary of the Global Confucius Institute Network

    and 20th anniversary of the Chinese Language Teachers Association NSW, also

    symbolises the success of promotion of Chinese Language teaching and learning,

    as well as culture exchange in Australia.

    As I was once a Chinese Language student, I believe that this opportunity will boost

    students confidence and interests in learning the language. I am really proud of allthe student performers. It is precisely the understanding of their generation that will

    allow further development of positive relations between Australia and Greater China

    in the future.

    I also want express my gratitude to all the supports from more than 20 school principals,

    head of language unit and all the parents. Since the beginning, our organising team

    received warm support from the Education Office of Chinese Consulate General in

    Sydney.

    I am excited and want send my best wishes to our organising team and all the student

    performers for a successful 2014 NSW Chinese Language Spectacular.

    Advance Australia Fair

    Australians all let us rejoice,

    For we are young and free;

    We've golden soil and wealth for toil,

    Our home is girt by sea;

    Our land abounds in nature's gifts

    Of beauty rich and rare;

    In history's page, let every stage

    Advance Australia Fair.

    In joyful strains then let us sing,

    Advance Australia Fair.Beneath our radiant Southern Cross,

    We'll toil with hearts and hands;

    To make this Commonwealth of ours

    Renowned of all the lands;

    For those who've come across the seas

    We've boundless plains to share;

    With courage let us all combine

    To Advance Australia Fair.

    In joyful strains then let us sing,

    Advance Australia Fair.
