Let your ceilings become the focal point of a room. They have the ability to expand or contract a space, making a cavernous hall seem more intimate or creating a feeling of openness and light in an office with low ceilings.

FEATURES

Lay In: Designed to “lay in” inside of most suspension grid

systems. The 2’x2’ size produces no sag in most patterns.

Tegular: Certain patterns are available as a Tegular option, where

the embossed part of the design is lower than the suspension grid

and the 4 edges are flat.

ACCESSORIES DIMENSION CEILINGS GRID COVER is a patented, snap-on grid cover

designed to make grid systems invisible. It is cost effective and doesn’t

rust or scratch. The cover is sized to fit over 15/16” T-bar suspension grid

systems, with other sizes available by special order.

Mains, tees and moldings are necessary to cover the entire grid system.

They are packaged together, to complete 100 square feet of ceiling, and

sold separately to use as needed.

MDC can design custom solutions for hotels, restaurants, fitness centers, corporations,

hospitals, healthcare institutions, boutiques, retail stores or anywhere you want to create

your own image

Contact a MDC sales associate to discuss your vision and have a custom design created

for your next project.

Digital printing allows for your logo or image to be printed on most

Dimension Walls. This creates a distinct customized look to the rich

textured patterns.

Well within their budget and lead time MDC aided the design of a custom

tire tread pattern manufactured onto 2’ x 4’ panels that allowed reverse hang

application. This enabled the finished product to have a varied layout with

the different tread styles within the panels. The matte black finish selected by

the architect was further enhanced post installation by a local faux finish artist,

adding the final touches to this unique installation.

PROJECT: COLTIVARE RESTAURANT AND CULINARY CENTER, ITHACA, NY

OBJECTIVE/SCOPE: Create a feature wall of industrial tire treads that had

both dimension and variation, and that could also be installed on an inverse

curved wall.

LEAD-TIME: 8 weeks from the initial design to delivery

EDGE OVERLAP

Most Dimension Walls and Ceilings feature an edge overlap on two sides

of each panel. This feature minimizes the appearance of seams and make

installation easy with no need for trim or caulk between the panels. Ceiling

tiles and wall panels with the overlap have a flat edge that extends beyond

the texture across the top and right side.

Certain patterns that do not have an Edge Overlap (BIO) may have a

Bead and Button feature. To install, overlap two or more sheets or tiles

on the bead and button perimeter which will join at the pre-determined

connection points.

STORAGE

Store flat and acclimate the panel

in the same environment for at least

24 hours before installation.

CUTTING Dimension Walls and Ceilings can

be easily cut using scissors or a

utility knife.

ADHESIVES Different adhesives and application

techniques can be used to apply

Dimension Walls. Please see MDC’s

technical information on our website

PAINTABLE FINISH

Use an adhesion promoting primer

and apply a commercial grade latex

or oil based paint to create any

color on the Dimension Walls or

Ceilings.

EDGE OVERLAP - BIO

(BUILT IN OVERLAP) Two contiguous sides of each panel

have an edge overlap (BIO) for

overlapping consecutive sheets.

This allows for a less visible seam.

See diagram on page 38.

TRIM MOLDING

Dimension Walls trim (see page 42),

millwork or other commercial trim

pieces are available for finishing the

panels.

CLEANING & CARE

Clean only with warm, soapy water.

Never use abrasive cleaners or

anything with harsh chemicals. A

high quality auto polish may be

used to help protect the finish.

Low Profile Seam: 1/2” overlap feature on two sides provides

a trim free, low profile seam. (Some Impact patterns may not

have the overlap - refer to catalog)

Thickness: 1/32” (.030) prior to forming. This is a dimensional

product - actual thickness varies.
