Amy Nehlsen

AMY NEHLSEN grew up in York, Pa. Her parents used their home to reach out to many people that needed a place to live or get a fresh start. She visited Honduras when she was 16 for the summer and saw so much potential to serve God and to help strengthen the church in areas of the world with less resources and opportunities. She attended Crown College for 4 years and received an undergrad degree in Elementary Education. She married Steve in 1985 and they worked together to plant an Alliance Church in Richmond, KY for 4 years. Steve and Amy sensed that God was calling them to serve Him in Africa. In 1989 they left for French language study with their baby daughter. One year later after studying in Albertville and Paris, they arrived in Cote d' Ivoire, West Africa. God blessed them through good and difficult times and gave them 12 good years in Cote d' Ivoire serving as international workers with The Christian and Missionary Alliance and their family grew. They have recently been invited to join the

faculty and staff of Nyack College and ATS

and are excited to enter this next chapter of

life.. Steve and Amy have 3 children; Abby,

Kari, and Peter.
