Review predictions of major winners of the 88th Academy Awards

It is award season for the biggest stars in Hollywood. This year the Oscars have drawn attention for their selection in nominations.

The Oriole asked students to take their picks prior to last Sunday’s awards. Here is what Quincy students picked and how they compared to the actual winners.

This year the Academy Awards (Os-cars) have drawn more attention because of the lack of diversity in the nominations. Actress Jada Pinkett Smith and director Spike Lee both boycotted this year’s show for this reason.

People argue that there were many movies this year that were directed by or starred people of color that deserve many nominations.
