Small Business Initiative The Small Business Initiative (SBI) is the comprehensive resource for small business growth. The team includes experienced business owners, entrepreneurs, marketing, operations, legal and financial professionals who work to help owners and entrepreneurs grow their business efficiently and effectively. The Small Business Initiative is located in the Entrepreneur Resource Center on the NWTC campus in the Advance Business and Manufacturing Center building. You can find our office at 2701 Larsen Road in Green Bay. Marketing Strategies for growing a Small BusinessIn this fast-paced, hands on workshop, you dive into the critical building blocks for creating your brand and the messaging that will resonate with your target market. Discuss best tax practices to meet IRS and Wisconsin Dept. of Revenue standards and the typical tax deductible business expenses and documentation requirements. Taste of EntrepreneurshipComing April 2017

Whether you want to start a business or currently operate a part-time, home-based business, micro business or small business; this workshop will provide you with the information you need for your business to launch, grow and thrive. Learn about the resources available and why a business plan is essential to success. Also, learn from other successful local entrepreneurs and business owners who share their experiences.

Are you a growth-minded small business owner looking for a process to help you take your business to the next level and achieve peak performance? With the support of a USDA grant, NWTC is accepting nominations/applications for a special workshop series designed for businesses with one to nine employees and annual revenues under one million dollars. The program is available to businesses in Shawano, Florence, Oconto, Marinette and Kewaunee Counties. The program consists of 3 workshops, each lasting approximately 2 hours. There is no cost for the program; however, participants are required to complete Gallup’s Entrepreneurial Talents online assessment tool, which has a fee of $12.

This annual event is a favorite of staff and faculty. Regional food-based businesses are invited to the Green Bay campus of NWTC to showcase, sample and sell their delicious food products. This is a great opportunity to introduce your product to a new target market. There is no fee to be a vendor.
