Control of the masses - enslaving us to a monetary system that is designed to create debt is profitable to the elite, while millions suffer, starve and die, as our current system continues to sacrifice the many to benefit the few. How is it possible that this is the world we have created? How am I a part of this creation and what can I do to change it? How can I take responsibility and become more aware of how to live into the solution? As Venus passes through the second chakra gate on her way to the underworld she is shedding and releasing 2nd chakra issues connected to our current money system, making these questions relevant now. Watching the crazy political gyrations, that seem more like children fighting than adults caring about how to make positive change that benefits everyone and not just their own bottom line, has further activated these questions for me. Recently a dear friend had a conversation with an otherwise seemingly intelligent person who blames the state of our world on Obama. Seriously…one person is responsible? Yet we have been taught to look at our political leaders to make the changes for us - like that could ever happen. It seems it is time to stop casting blame and look at how we are all responsible as we have agreed with the this crazy collective dream in some way. Who hasn’t worried about their own bottom line and ability to survive in a world that tells us our resources are scarce and we have to fight to survive? We must be the fittest, the strongest, the most unscrupulous to thrive in the economic reality we have co-created. February 2016 February comes from the Latin februare meaning to "purify" or "expiate." In ancient Rome, Februarius (now February) was the "Month of Purification" and great festivities were held to reestablish the empire's focus on righteous living. There is a Roman god called Februus, but indications are he WAS named after the festival. The festival was NOT named after him. As we begin the second month of 2016 it is worthwhile to note that Jupiter and the North Node are still within less than half of a degree of each other separating to just under three degrees by February 29 located in the body of the Lion Constellation still near the tail of the Lion.

A Historic Look At The difference Between Signs and
Constellations.
Astronomers and astrologers alike often misunderstand that Signs and
Constellations are two totally different things. Below is an example from
Marcus Manilius a first century Roman astrologer and poet who wrote five
books called Astronomica. These books provide a sense of how the
constellations were viewed about two thousand years ago. This passage is describing a view of the Goatfish or
Capricorn when the season of Winter or sign of Capricorn overlaid this constellation in the first century:
In her shrine Vesta tends your fires, Capricorn {Goatfish}: and from her you derive your skills and
callings…You also give a fondness for clothes and wares which dispel the cold, since your lot falls for all
time in winter's season, wherein you shorten the nights you have brought to their greatest length and
give birth to a new year by enlarging the daylight hours….

This description was derived from the seasonal experience of the Winter Solstice when it resided in the
constellation of the Goatfish, or Seagoat or as astronomers call it Capricornus. What Manilius did NOT
understand is the Winter Solstice does not always fall in this constellation - as he describes this season
occurring in this part of the sky “for all time in winter’s season.”
Currently, the Winter Solstice now resides at the Galactic Cross between the Archer and the Scorpion and the
season of Aquarius now overlays the Goatfish. This means that when we reach the seasonal time of year we
call Aquarius when the days are growing longer and are moving toward Spring (in the Northern hemisphere)
the Sun is traveling through the constellation of the Goatfish and is NO longer traveling through the
constellation known as the Waterbearer, or Aquarius.
This change is due to what is called the precession of Solstices and Equinoxes through the zodiacal
constellations and is the mechanism that causes our myths and symbols to change with time. It is because the
seasons have the same name as the constellations that we experience so much confusion and
misunderstanding. The confusion originated when the reality of precession was forgotten in the dark ages and
at that time the signs and constellations wound up with the same names.
This means that the signs for the seasons were named the same names as the constellations and that is at the
root of this misunderstanding in both the astrological and astronomical world today. In fact it is this issue that
fuels the main differences between sidereal and tropical astrologers.
Shamanic Astrology understands this difference and incorporates these changes into our current view of the
archetypes as they are undergoing a rapid evolutionary change. (More about precession is discussed in

This issue when properly understood explains why we are at an even more vital Turning of the Ages than what some are calling the Age of Aquarius. What we are experiencing is far bigger, representing an entire shift of 26,000 years rather than a mere 2160 years! This is a great time to be witness and part of this great turning of the Wheel of Time. Stars worth noting in the Night Sky this Month
This month Procyon and Sirius are the two bright stars in
the eastern sky after Sunset. Sirius is the brightest fixed
star in our night sky shining brightly this time of year
above the Eastern Horizon. Procyon (11 light years from
Earth) is the star known as "before the dog" rising just before the Dog Star Sirius (8 light years from Earth).
Look for Sirius to the lower left of the three stars of Orion's belt. Also prominent is the bright red star known
as Betelguese marking the shoulder of Orion. All three stars, Procyon, Sirius and Betelguese form a perfect
equilateral triangle known to some cultures as Heaven’s Gate where souls enter this dimension.

Other Celestial Events for February
Meteor Showers Alpha Centaruid peeks February 8 with good visibility due to the New
Moon.
This month is also good for seeing the Zodiacal Light about one to two hours after sunset
on clear moonless nights. The zodiacal light is a faint glow seen above the horizon that
shows up in where the Sun set and reaches up into the night sky. In mid-northern
latitudes, the zodiacal light is best observed in the western sky after the evening twilight
disappears, or in the eastern sky in the autumn just before the morning twilight appears. It
is so faint that it is completely masked by either moonlight or
light pollution.
The Unicorn a.k.a Monoceros in the Great Above...reminds us of the Unicorns in the Great Below and this is the time of year to see the constellation connected to these magical creatures in the Sky. Unicorn’s are magical mythical creatures and their horns are said to be healing. This comes from India in the writings of Ctesias an ancient Greek Physician who wrote that the rulers of India used the Unicorn's horn for anti-toxin purposes as a way to avoid being assassinated by poison. Unicorns in current day are seen as a horse with a single horn. Ctesias described them this way: "The unicorn was native to India, the size of a donkey, with a burgundy head and white body; it had blue eyes, a single horn that was bright red at the top, black in the middle, and white at the bottom; the horn was also eighteen inches long." The World is as we See It and Dream It into reality - so connecting with the Unicorn in the sky we can imagine an even more magical awareness of Unicorns in this world as magical allies and guides. February features all the planets visible in the morning sky. Jupiter is highest in the sky before sunrise. Mars is rising around midnight followed by Saturn still very near Antares the heart of the scorpion, and then Venus comes up about two hours before the Sun followed closely by Mercury.

Venus rises about two hours before the Sun as February begins, and only an hour before the Sun at the end of February. Venus is currently low on the horizon shining at about -3.9 magnitude. This month Venus passes through the sixth gate, second chakra on February 5. Mercury shines at 0° magnitude for all of February and is also visible near Venus all this month. Mercury is reaching greatest elongation from the Sun (26°) on February 7. Mercury makes its closest approach to Venus on February 13 when Mercury is 4° of the lower left of Venus only 10° above the horizon 30 minutes before sunrise. Retrograde Jupiter is gloriously bright and visible in February. It climbs over the eastern horizon around eight or 9 PM local time as February begins but only about 25 minutes after sunset as the month ends. Jupiter brightens from a -2.4 magnitude to a -2.5 magnitude and reaches opposition to the Sun on March 8 marking the center point of its retrograde cycle.
Mars begins February at +0.8 magnitude brightening to +0.3 by the end of February. Mars is also just 1.1° North of the third magnitude double star Zubenelgenubi on February 1. Mars rises around 1 am as February begins and around midnight at the end of month. Mars is also about halfway between Spica and Antares and will reach opposition to the Sun on May 22 and its closest approach to the Earth on May 30. Saturn is rising around 3 AM at the beginning of February, and 1:30 AM a.m. at the end of February. Saturn is about 7.5° North East of Antares maintaining the magnitude of +0.5 all this month. This means that Saturn and Mars are very close to the same magnitude for most of February. The waning crescent Moon is near Mars and Zubenelgenubi on the morning of February 1, then moves to catch up to
Saturn and Antares on February 3 and by February 6 the Moon catches up to Venus forming a tight triangle with with the waning Moon to the right and Mercury just below the Moon. The waxing Gibbous Moon occults Aldebaran on February 15. The Moon passes to the upper right of Regulus on February 21 and the just passed Full Moon rises close to Jupiter on February 23.

February 2016 Celestial Timings February 1, Monday. The Moon is conjunct Mars (15 Scorpio) and the fixed star Zubenelgenubi (marking one of the pans in the constellation of the Scales) at 2:28 am. Find out more about planets in Scorpio in this article on Edgewalking. The Sun is conjunct Armus (12 Aquarius 57) also known as the Heart of the Goat (a.k.a. Capricornus). This is an event that happens every year around February 1 meaning if you have a birthday from about January 28 to February 3 or 4 you have the Sun within 3 degrees of Armus. This year Mercury will pass by this star on February 22 and Venus will pass by here on February 27. (see Feb 22 Venus and Mercury pass Armus once a year but not always in the month of February. February 2, Tuesday. The February Cross Quarter, Candle mass, Imbolc, Groundhog Day. The Celts regarded this cross-quarter time as the Feast Day of the Goddess Brigit or Brighid. She was a Celtic goddess of fire, the hearth, the fields, poetry, marriage and childbirth. Remnants of her influence are still evident because to this day women share an aspect of her name (Bride) when they marry. The season of Imbolc was a time to extinguish the old ceremonial fires and light new ones in honor of the returning light and lengthening days. In some parts of the world, winter is loosening its hold and the seeds are stirring, breaking free of their shells, and showing signs of growth. This also reminds us that the seeds planted deep within ourselves are also stirring. The Moon enters Sagittarius at 7:50 am. February 3, Wednesday. Mars (16° Scorpio 11') is sextile Pluto (16° Capricorn 11') at 3:53 am. Mercury (18° Capricorn 54') is sextile Chiron (18° Pisces54') at 4:36 am the Sun (14° Aquarius 21') is sextile Saturn (14°Sg21') at 10:17 am. February 4, Thursday. The Sun reaches 15° Aquarius marking the Imbolc Cross Quarter between the December Solstice and the Spring Equinox. Uranus and Vesta (17°Aries 15') meet at 5:43 am. This marks the Sixth Gate - Second chakra activation of the Venus descent journey drawing our attention to the Underworld where we must face the parts of ourselves we have forgotten, denied or been afraid of acknowledging. February 15, Monday. Presidents' Day in the USA. The Moon enters Gemini at 6:35 am passing the Pleiades illuminating the mysteries that take us beyond ordinary reality, beyond the limiting rules of this dimension, beyond rational and linear thought processes. This is the domain of the coyote trickster who encourages us to let go of pre-conceived ideas and beliefs and reminds us things are not as real as they appear. Passing through the Sacred Hoop of stars over the next few days the Moon is approaching Aldebaran, the eye of the Bull tonight, and by tomorrow night it will appear just beyond Aldebaran occulting this star for the 15th time since January of last year in this series of 49 occultations. In some cultures Aldebaran was considered the all-seeing “eye of god” and marked the key to the silver gate where souls descend into this reality. What new and vital perceptions are being activated? What hidden mysteries and secrets are being revealed? February 16, Tuesday. Venus enters Aquarius at 8:17 pm traveling through this area of the sky until March 12.
For the divine feminine this is about a revolution in consciousness assisting in bringing about innovative, radical change
fulfilling the Aquarian Dispensation that says everyone has the right to take responsibility for their own spiritual and
evolutionary path. This means we do not need anyone to intercede on our behalf. We have the power to have our own
direct connection with the divine and it is up to us to take responsibility
in ways that empower our direct connection with spirit.
February 17, Wednesday. The Moon enters Cancer at 11:24 am and is at the center point of the Sacred Hoop of stars. See Feb 15. February 18, Thursday. The Sun enters Pisces at 9:34 pm. This seasonal cycle of the Sun burns the fuel of compassion, imagination, and dreaming. This next month is a time to focus on the dreams that need our conscious attention, nurturing, and care to come into manifestation. In the cycle of plant growth this is when the tender new shoots require attentive protection and nurturing (not too much Sun or water but also not to little) to grow into healthy young plants. Compassionate attention to the needs of our growing and ever-evolving selves assists this physical growth process. February 19, Friday. The Moon enters Leo at 6:17 pm. February 20, Saturday. Saturn is in the area of the sky where the Great Attractor is
located described as a huge energetic force drawing local galaxies, including ours,
toward it at a million miles per hour. The Great Attractor is a super cluster of
Galaxies operating at a scale beyond human comprehension.
The gravity generated by the Great Attractor is pulling our Milky Way Galaxy in its
direction. This expands our awareness to the forces beyond the Milky Way that also
influence our experience here in our tiny part of the Universe.

Mercury is passing by the heart star of the Goat, Armus. In
the Book titled Fixed Stars & Constellations in Astrology,
Vivian Robson tells us this story of the constellation known
as the Seagoat and the star Armus. The story describes how
the Gods retreated into Egypt when they were at war with
the giants (Titans). Typhon, the last son of Gaia and the most
grotesque and dangerous of the Titans having 100 serpent
heads was pursuing the Gods.
To escape Typhon, each God was forced to change shape. The God Pan leaped into the Nile and turned his
upper body into a goat and his lower body into a fish. This shape was considered worthy of commemoration in
the heavens by Zues a.k.a Jupiter, and is why we have a constellation known as the Seagoat or Goatfish.

Mount Etna.
The star Armus, marks the heart of the Goatfish reminding us to follow the dictates of our heart knowing.
Research shows that the intelligence of the heart is far greater than the intelligence of the mind and that the
heart is continually sending meaningful messages to the brain - that the brain not only understands - but also
responds to instantly.
The study of how the heart and brain communicate with each other via the nervous system is called
Neurocardiology. When emotions, or feelings, and thoughts are out-of-phase overall awareness is reduced.
This suggests that it is important to take time to connect with our heart-knowing, through whatever means
works.
Since emotional processes can work faster than the mind, it takes a power stronger than the mind to
bend perception, override emotional circuitry, and provide us with intuitive feeling instead. It takes the

species on the stars and planets (in the galaxy) are like cells in the organs of the galactic body, renewing the
energies of these organs and cells. Planet Earth and her inhabitants were separated from the galactic body and
the Oversoul to play the game of separation, and are now being reconnected.
The axiotonal lines are made of Light and Sound....Once reconnection has occurred, the Overself transmits the
appropriate color/tone frequencies to regenerate the physical body into a Lightbody.
The axiotonal lines lie along the acupuncture meridians and connect in by means of the 'spin points.' Spin
points are small spherical vortexes of electromagnetic energy that feel like they are on the skin surface. There
are also spin points in every cell of the body. These cellular points emit Sound and Light frequencies which spin
the atoms of the molecules in the cell at a faster rate. Through the increased molecular spin, Light fibers are

This keeps the Gregorian Calendar from drifting away from the seasonal calendar. In fact, it takes over 3,000 years for this calendar to drift as much as one whole day. So 2016 is actually a day longer than the usual 365 days we normally observe. The Moon enters Sagittarius at 3:56 pm and catches up to Mars at 11:55 am and is visible near Antares and Saturn. Venus (15° Aquarius 55') is sextile Saturn (15° Sagittarius 55') at 5:07 pm.
