A WORD FROM

ROB COHEN CHAIRMAN & CEO, THE IMA FINANCIAL GROUP, INC.

Our associates went above and beyond in 2017! Not only did we see strong financial performance last year, but our employees gave back to our communities in the largest numbers we’ve ever recorded. As you’ll see in this report, IMA has given time, talent and treasure to nonprofit partners throughout our footprint. Our community partnerships have a clear impact on our business, especially as it relates to talent and client satisfaction. It’s amazing to be able to do the right thing for all the right reasons and see the business benefit. Companies must do well to do good!

Also last year we were thrilled to be named the Large Company of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) for National Philanthropy Day in Colorado. This is a huge honor and our associates are so deserving. More importantly, this honor represents the incredible nonprofits we proudly serve and support. We are so fortunate to work with passionate people representing organizations that are improving the lives of those in our communities.

Thanks for making a difference!

A WORD FROM

RUTH ROHS VICE PRESIDENT OF CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, THE IMA FOUNDATION

Reflecting on 2017 brings a huge smile to my face! As you’ll see in this report, IMA associates and our nonprofit partners joined in ways that truly made a difference last year. We raised more money through our IMA Foundation fundraisers than ever before, we had more associates volunteer by thousands of hours and we supported the largest number of nonprofit organizations through grants and IMA’s employee matching gifts program.

As an employee owner, I am incredibly proud to see IMA be a leader in making a difference in the lives of our clients and our communities. Giving back is the real deal at IMA. Our volunteer t-shirts changed last year and now they read “IMA Difference Makers.” This shift shows that we take giving back personally; we are all in this together!

Thanks for being a difference maker!

The founders of IMA showed true vision decades ago when they started the IMA Foundation to support IMA’s hometown of Wichita. As IMA has grown into five states and nearly 700 employees, the IMA Foundation continues to carry on the legacy of its founders by supporting nonprofit organizations that better the communities where IMA associates live, work, learn and play. Today the IMA Foundation focuses on supporting organizations in arts and culture, advancing youth and education in the communities where IMA operates.

THE IMA FOUNDATION PROVIDED GRANTS TO NEARLY 100 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONSThrough IMA Foundation grants and our employee matching gifts program, the IMA Foundation supported nearly 100 nonprofit partners in 2017. Because of the passion of our associates, dozens of nonprofits benefited from twice the financial support

through matched donations. Our nonprofit partners continue to be incredible stewards of these resources to impact our communities. Our associates continue to live IMA’s mission to protect assets and make a difference.

IMA expanded associate volunteer committees to all offices to further organic employee engagement. These teams of associates, known as our Community Action Committees, identify unique volunteer opportunities for their colleagues throughout the year. Through the new life-balance program, associates continue to have the opportunity to volunteer during work hours.

IMA’s business model revolves around people. We know our greatest achievements occur when we work together.

IMA’s mission to make substantial change for the cities it supports was on display during I Make a Difference Day when nine communities came together at once to make lasting improvements. Associates rolled up their sleeves and flew the IMA flag to show that corporate responsibility is everyone’s responsibility.

IMA employees, families and friends donated approximately 1,500 hours across the country. It was the annual event’s largest showing. Most importantly, IMA showed kids we care, beautified cultural icons and supported the disadvantaged.

The IMA Foundation’s smashing success, Ping Pong on the Plaza, took over Denver’s Union Station again in September. Business and government leaders including Mayor Hancock of Denver and sports luminaries such as Miles of the Denver Broncos and Bernie from the Colorado Avalanche joined the fun with professionals from all over the Denver area to enjoy an afternoon of friendly competition, great food & drink, and a convivial atmosphere.

SANDBLAST VOLLEYBALLDALLAS, TX | WICHITA, KS

Together both Wichita and Dallas made a difference in the community by hosting the extremely well received and attended Sandblast volleyball tournaments. 2017 marked Wichita’s second annual Sandblast Volleyball Tournament and Dallas’ eighth. Community and business leaders from these two communities stepped up in the sand and heat to benefit local nonprofit organizations. Collectively these two events raised more than $85,000 to provide additional financial support to area nonprofits.

2018 saw IMA’s Kansas City office put together their inaugural fundraising event, Pickleball Palooza. The event raised over $30,000 for local nonprofits, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City.
