Vendor Social 4:45 pm Monday GIS Practitioners’ Meet-Up 6:00 pm Monday Raffles and Prizes 1:30 pm Tuesday Lunch 12:00 pm Monday and Tuesday Vote for Maps and Apps The Central Florida GIS Workshop Inc. welcomes you to the 13 th Annual Central Florida GIS Workshop at the Ocean Center, Daytona Beach. The Central Florida GIS Workshop Inc. is a volunteer effort arising from the work of a number of dedicated GIS professionals in the Central Florida region and is a non-profit organization. The Board members are all Geomentors. The Workshop offers teacher training periodically as well as participating in Teach-In and Tech Events at local schools. The Workshop works with the Florida Geographic Alliance and esri to judge and facilitate awards for the Annual esri Florida Middle and High School Story Map Competition. Some of our Board members are adjunct instructors at local colleges and our Board Chair is on the Academic Advisory Committee for the Daytona State College Institute of Marine and Environmental Science Program. The Workshop also offers 2 scholarships open to any Florida college or university, Geography, GIS, or Survey program student. Attend our student presentations this year! Holdstock, BA, MS, GISP is CEO and Co-founder of Geographic Technologies Group (GTG), and has over 23 Years of GIS management experience. She is an active member of the Florida Coastal Mapping Program, Interagency Working Group on Ocean and Coastal Mapping, 3D Elevation Program Working Group, and USGS Geospatial Information Response Team. Xan is currently serving as the Associate Chair of URISA Professional Education Committee and as the ASPRS GIS Division Director and Vice President of the Florida Region. He is a broadly trained human geographer with deep interests in citizen science GIS, community geography, qualitative GIS, and critical GIS. He serves as Chair of the Applied Geography Specialty Group for the Association of American Geographers. Dr. Hawthorne earned his PhD in Geography in 2010 from the Department of Geography, Ohio State University.
