PRESIDENT’S SPONSORThe President’s Sponsorship gives your business or brand the ability to gain maximum exposure throughout our tournament year. We offer our President’s sponsors full access to the 75,000 plus spectators and over 4,200 anglers who come experience “The Rodeo”. For example, Springhill Medical Center sponsored the Live Weigh-In for Redfish and Speckled Trout. The Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo (ADSFR), a Project of the Mobile Jaycees, is one of the largest fishing tournaments in the world. Founded in 1929, the fishing rodeo now attracts over 4,200 anglers and 75,000 spectators. It is located on Dauphin Island, Alabama. (N30 15ʼ31, 90” W88 06ʼ47.78). The 87th Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo will be held July 16-19, 2020. The ADSFR is a 3-day Captain’s Choice tournament and a Southern Kingfish Association (SKA) sanctioned event. The total awards package is valued at over $500,000 and anchored by a Contender boat, Yamaha motor, and trailer package. The 3-day event features 30 categories with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all categories. One Master Angler is awarded along with cash prizes for King Mackerel, Speckled Trout and Big Game Jackpots. The ADSFR has donated over $350,000 to the University of South Alabama, Department of Marine Sciences and annually funds academic scholarships. With the addition of the Rodeo Weekend Music and Arts festival, we are seeing more spectators coming on site and staying longer to hear the bands that are playing on our stage all weekend long.The major accomplishments of the ADSFR would not be possible without the strategic partnerships with successful sponsors like you. 62nd Roy Martin Young Anglers TournamentThe 62nd Roy Martin Young Anglers Tournament (RMYAT) is held the Saturday before the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo. The purpose of the tournament is to encourage participation of young people in sport fishing and to teach and encourage good sportsmanship. This year’s tournament will be held July 11, 2020. The one day tournament features 30 categories with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all categories and is open to all children 15 years old or younger. One Master Angler will also be awarded. The awards ceremony is held the same day, on-site after the weigh station closes. The ticket sales from the RMYAT are used to fund the Mobile Jaycees Christmas Shopping Tour.
