Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
The town-folks in Nazareth fail to recognize Jesus, in the height of His ministry, because they cannot go beyond the fact that they saw Him grow up and they think that they know Him so well that they do not put their faith in Him. Therefore, Jesus cannot perform any miracles among them. How often do we fail to recognize the work of God among us because the bearer of that message may be someone, we think in no way could represent the Lord?
Lord give me the wisdom and the humility to see and recognize you in any way you come to us. Take time to refresh the life of the Spirit that has been given you through baptism. Then witness your faith like disci-ples and believers throughout the ages. Be assured of my prayers for you and for your dear ones. May the good Lord bless you with wisdom, health, and peace. Es por eso por lo que Jesús no puede hacer ningún milagro entre ellos. ¿Cuántas veces no reconocemos la obra de Dios entre nosotros porque el portador del mensaje es alguien que conocemos y pensamos, que, de ninguna manera, esta persona puede ser instrumento de Dios?
Señor dame la sabiduría y la humildad para poder ver y reconocerte en cualquier forma que vengas a nosotros. Tomen tiempo para meditar y refrescar la vida del Espíritu que se les ha dado en su bautismo. Entonces den testimo-nio de su fe, así como lo han hecho los cristianos en cada siglo. St. John Chrysostom’s Together in Mission goal is $46,165.00. “Together, let’s make a deference for those in need especially after this most challenging year.” Last year with all the challenges our community was able to give a total of $41,227.40. To be a registered parishioner, one must: -Attend Mass at St. John Chrysostom parish on a regular basis. -Fill out a registration form and be in our parish files -Anyone over the age of 21 must fill out their own registration and not rely on the registration of parents or grandparents. -Financially support the parish.
