Here are just a fewexamples of our data center customer successes:

Reduce IT spend and optimize management.A Fortune 250 energy company was looking for ways to reduce its IT spend, optimize systemmanagement,and increase power efficiencies. ePlus provided virtualization consulting, and helped design and implementthe infrastructure for a VMware upgrade—a huge leap forward toward its goal of a virtualized environment.We also streamlined the product fulfillment process for this customer. Its servers come into our configurationcenter where they are staged and then delivered to the company, ready to go.

Design and implement a Business Continuity plan.A large, established credit union with more than $1.4 billion in assets came to ePlus for a Business Continuityplan. We identified vulnerabilities in its WAN infrastructure and provided a full network design, storage archi-tecture, and server farm architecture plan with options as well as an off-site data backup that eliminated tapebackups to a third party. Efficient and cost-effective, our solution employed advanced virtualization, bladeserver, and consolidated storage technologies that met its SLAs, while lowering total cost of ownership.

Improve data center space and power utilization.A $600million technology reseller was limited by space and power constraints at its data centers. Thesolution would require consensus of the CEO, CIO, CFO, President, as well as the IT Support Manager andProfessional Services Engineering Manager. Server consolidation and virtualization solved the space andpower problems, gained redundancy for all applications, and provided the scalability necessary to allow forfuture growth—cost-effectively.

Move data center while increasing availability of mission-critical systems.A global manufacturer of products used by the paper industry had to move its data center, add availability forcritical information systems, and manage the new site from remote locations—with a limited budget. ePlusresponded with an extensive network and storage solution design, assuming total project management andcoordination of multiple vendors, staff, and consultants. The move was done affordably and on time. Thecustomer benefited from higher availability of mission-critical applications including database and payroll,and IT staff at any locations can manage the system.
