Commit One Sacrificial Hour Per Week during Lent to save lives
Adoration for Vocation: Jesus commanded us to pray for vocations with his words, "Pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his vineyard" Mt. 9:38. We will be having hours of adoration of the Most Holy Eucharist to ask God for more vo-cations to the priestly and religious life. The adoration will be every first Saturday of the month, from March to June, from 6:45pm-7:45pm. The first one will be on March 5th.

“Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 2:5) In chapter 8 of Matthew Kelly’s book Rediscover Jesus he reminds us that we are called to surrender to the radical love of Jesus. Radical is a word often thrown about in our daily lives, but the word radical when used in conjunction with the name of Jesus calls forth the reality of God’s mercy and love.
Jesus’ radical call to love, forgive and live in community is challenging in our daily lives because we are invited to embrace the hurts and sorrows in our lives and in the lives of others. God’s radical love is abid-ing in His truth.
Our greatest truths are shared in the Sacramental life of the Church. This Wednesday, February 24th at 7:00 p.m. is our parish reconciliation service. All are invited to come and be embraced by the radical love, forgiveness and mercy of God. If you are unable to attend, please see our Lenten schedule for the many other opportunities to celebrate this Sac-rament of healing.
Today, you will also be able to purchase tickets for the movie Full of Grace to support our young people who will be at-tending World Youth Day this summer. Tip of the Month: How to Spend More Times with God One of our goals for the Worship Commission this year is to provide suggestions on ways that we all could “spend additional times with God – besides the 1 hour Sunday Mass.” Toward that end, we are going to have a series of Monthly Tips called “Tip of the Month: How to Spend More Times with God.” These tips will be published on the 2nd Sundays in the Bulletin and Enews. And for this month, our first “Tip of the Month: How to A Spend More Times with God” is: Schedule your time and make it to St Lucy every Friday at 6pm (English) and 8pm (Spanish) during Lent to participate in Station of the Cross – where the Passion of Christ is read & sang by different groups at St Lucy. We urge you to come and share this moving experience with the community.
