    Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to invite you to join the third Tinnitus Research Initiative Meeting, taking place from June 24th to 26th, 2009.

Whitnessing an exciting period in tinnitus research, advances in neurosciences offer us a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of tinnitus and enable fascinating new treatment possibilities. Following the spirit of the first TRI meetings we want to further encourage dialogue between basic scientists and clinicians. We are convinced that communication between researchers will facilitate both, a more profound understanding of the different forms of tinnitus and the development of more effective diagnostic and therapeutic measures.

We hope you will experience a lively exchange of scientific and clinical information and will enjoy Stresa as congress venue with its cozy atmosphere and its surrounding lake and mountains. The Scientific Program will cover all aspects of tinnitus research from basic science to clinical management.Through symposia, poster sessions, educational workshops and meet the expert sessions, the meeting will bring together basic and clinical scientists from around the world.

We are looking forward to meet you at the 3rd TRI meeting in Stresa in 2009.

Berthold LangguthChairman of the TRI Executive Committee

Luca Del BoMember of the TRI Executive CommitteeChairman of the Local Organising Committee
